The Ring Magazine - who still reads it let alone buys it?

**** i got screwed i payed 50 plus for a whole year subscription. anyways i still read it.

 

I look forward to each issue. I just got one last night with Cotto on the cover.
As of this morning, I read the whole thing already.

The article on Cuban boxing was a good read.

 

Not quite. In the last few years, the magazine adapted.

They focus more on life stories, boxing history, etc and less on what would be considered news which they now do in their website.

 

ever since DLH bought it I stop buying it, online boxing news and article are better.

 

I read it in the store but don't buy it, its like 7 or 8 bucks.

 

This is the stuff I would buy if for. Different articles than you can find on-line. And I prefer print copies - hate reading long articles on-line. Plus I like looking through old copies!!!
But unfortunately, I am cheap...and the $86.50US price to ship to Canada is hard to justify.

I feel the same way. Websites and magazines both have their place.

I just can't read lengthly or in-depth articles online. I've never adapted to it. For that, you can't beat a magazine, imo.
On the other hand, no magazine can compete with websites for up-to-date news or results.

 

I bought the june issue with Pacquiao on the cover. Sure its 9 bucks but its Manny F'n Pacquiao.

Also had a good article with Nonito.

 

i used to buy every issue until about 18 months ago now buy it every other month

 

In the UK "Boxing News" is the only way to roll.

 

I buy it every now and then when I know I'll be taking a trip and need something to read. It really does have some good reading material in it. The only problem is that it is a little outdated by the time it gets over here, so that kinda sucks, overall it's a great magazine, it would be sad to see it go away.

 

I only buy it now about 4 times a year. I just have it for my fight parties because I like to leave them out and let my guest look at them before the fights.

 

Way to much money for the same **** you can read online for free. And i can't even find it in any stores near me.

 

i buy it for a toliet mag. i will never be bored taking a **** again!!!!
