Seeing an over-the-hill fighter getting his ass kicked is not "inspirational" to me.

For being the first 50 year old to fly out of the ring backwards and then claim he was pushed lol

I found his "injury" in the first Dawson fight more inspirational. He should have got an Oscar for that fight.

Hard to call Lubin a prospect when he's got a better resume than many titlists. He's f/n bonafide.

And comeback of the year. Andre Ward???? Are they fukking ******ed?
    He beat Barerra and Smith.
Lost his @ss to Kovalev. Meaning, someone at Ring would be forced to say Ward beat Kovalev. Which Everyone but racist Ward fans (non-WhiteHating Ward fans ALL know he lost) and the 3 judges who got new Aston Martins from Roc, know he lost. By calling him the comeback fighter of the yr they are allowing his BS win to stand.
And KO of the Year?????? LMAO How insulting to the fighters like Joe Smith Jr, Haye and Wilder, who all had better KOs vs far more resilient fighters.

Major force? He faced nothing but low tier fighters since reaching Lightheavy, and got a ridiculous gift decision against Kova, but I guess that justifies comeback of the year credentials :risas3:

    What a disgrace :hanged: :camper:

I was impressed that he was able to compete with Kovalev after the inactivity, I thought he was getting KO'ed.

Anyway, who would you have for comeback of the year?

Considering Ward was grappling and hanging on for dear life, I still dont think it was impressive. Also Ward already warmed up before the Kova fight, this inactivity BS does not hold merit. Hes fought 3 times at 170+ before fighting Kovalev. You are talking as if Ward went from retirement to fighting kovalev right away. Fighting one dimensional plodders like Kessler or Froch does not constitute being able to beat Kovalev either.

Both fought in late 2015, and casuals have no idea who they are.

You mean 2016 and it doesn't matter if casuals don't know who they are

As I understand it, comeback of the year is for a previously inactive or unsuccessful boxer who returns and is successful. So if they fought in late 2015 they didn't "comeback" this year at all.
