i thought the point of P4P was being ranked "as good as your last fight"

Floyd should have been #1 after Mannies fight with Marquez but i can see why he wasnt because of how the Ortiz fight ended.

But NOW? after seeing their last two fights, theres no doubt that floyd should be ranked above him. floyd moved up and another belt @ 154, no catchweight, and looked great.

robbed or not, manny looked like **** against a feather fisted blown up 140 pounder.

ring mag is full of ****.

 

after Cotto fight Floyd moved down to 5 on my list.

What difference would it make to a "floyd fan" if PBF were in Jail or at his house...he wouldn't be fighting right now anyway? Secondly, what you fail to grasp is that it doesn't matter what Ring "says", it's a known fact who #1 is, why the kindergarten ****?

 

I think you need to check your dates my friend, Im not having a go here , but Floyd has fought 6 times since 07 , yes he is clearly the most talented fighter today , but im not seeing a worthwhile ranking of p4p number 1 when he isnt fighting like the other guys are.

 

Only bandwagon flunkies ever considered Pac #1 P4P & yes there are plenty of bandwagon bitches on the Ring's staff.... They are professional *******s.... they're just as stupid as regular *******s, they just have an official title...

 

Sorry dont agree , it cannot be 'as good as your last fight' or the ranking would keep changing , it has to be over time . If Floyd fought twice a year regardless of who it was because it would always be someone good then you can have him at number 1 p4p . But he doesnt fight often enough. Number 1 has to be based on longetivity , quality , consistancey and a regular in the ring.

 

The rankings are on a month to month basis so they do keep changing. No fighters have been accomplishing what Floyd has been in the last 2 years in the ring so why would he not be #1?

 

If you are basing it on the last two years only then neither Floyd or Manny are number 1.

Martinez has had 5 fights knocking out four opponents .

Ward has had four fights and absolutely secured the ring 168 belt.

Floyd has fought three times and one was a gimmie.

Manny has fought five times and definately lost to JMM and looked poor in at least two others.

 

Martinez also lost that fight before that. You call Ortiz a gimme for Mayweather? So what was dzinzurik, barker and macklin for Martinez? atsch Martinez also has a loss to Williams while Floyd has been going undefeated for years and now holds two titles and is #1 in two divisions.

A case can definitely be made for Ward being a top P4P'er, no disputing that.

 

I have Floyd #1 and Pac #2. Don't care how anyone feels about it. P4P list's are all opinion anyway and half these "experts" don't know their ass from their elbow. **** em.

 

Im only basing it on your time scale of two years and there have been better performers in that time. Martinez and Ward have clearly out performed every other fighter within that period.
