For me it's Haton - deeper resume. I like Williams but the Quintana loss worries me despite rematch ko - he was completely taken off his game. Helluva way to come back though!

I think you just answered your own question.

Hatton has notable wins over a true ATG in Kostya Tsyzu, JLC, Paulie Malignaagi, Luis Collazo.

Paul Williams has Margarito and Quintana whom he also lost to.

Hatton is by far the more accomplished fighter and as of now, deserves to be ranked higher than Williams on that basis.

    Simple as that.

Cotto has done more than both Hatton and Williams...

**** Cotto beat the **** outta the guy who gave Williams his first loss. Beat a world class fighter in Mosley. Beat the best gatekeeper in Judah. Faced the MUCH tougher opposition than Hatton @ 140 (Malignaggi, Corley, Torres, Branco, Abdulaev, Sosa, N'Dou).

He's only lost ONCE and it was a GREAT fight. I'm sure most people didn't see a victory in sight for Margarito while watching the first 4 rounds.

And again...I know you're defending your boy Williams, but Cotto isn't the guy that you should be disputing...it should be Hatton :good

Hatton fought better names than Cotto at 140, it isn't even up for discussion.

Jose Luis Castillo was BEYOND shot...
Tzysu was pretty faded himself when facing Hatton...

Yea...I really don't know any other names there

EDIT: Urango and Malignaggi are worth mentioning I guess

Hatton, obviously. Williams lost to Quintana. Hatton lost to Mayweather. Both fought pretty good competition since then, but Malignaggi is cleary superior than Phillips, who's title was an early Christmas gift anyway.

BTW: it pretty f*cking ridiculous that VIC DARCHINYAN is not on the list after beating a legitimate P4P-er and another champ this year while Cotto is on despite getting beat by Margarito, who wasn't even a P4P-er AT THE TIME they fought. That alone is pretty much enough for The Ring to lose credibility.
