"Outcome: Foreman, motivated and focused for the biggest opportunity of his career, will be faster on his feet than usual, but Cotto will be extremely determined in cutting off the ring. Foreman will score the cleaner shots in the early rounds, landing pot shots on the fly, as Cotto gradually adjusts to his adversary’s speed and lateral patterns. Steward will remind Cotto to jab his way in and the veteran’s timing and underrated left stick will indeed help the squat puncher to get inside and land powerful body shots that hurt Foreman. However, Foreman will tie Cotto up whenever the Puerto Rican star gets in close and then spin the pressure fighter around before making his escape. Foreman will plant his feet a little more in the late rounds and land thudding one-two combinations that get Cotto’s respect and the attention of the judges, but Cotto will also land a few counter left hooks that wobble the future rabbi. Foreman will hold to survive these rocky moments and then get on his bicycle for the remainder of the round. The fight will be close in the championship rounds and Foreman’s jab and lateral movement will not only enable him to survive, but will rack up important points.

Prediction: Foreman by close, perhaps majority, decision."

Am I the only one surprised that The Ring is going with Foreman?

Maybe I haven't seen enough of Foreman, but I just don't think he's on Cotto's level. I know Foreman has been put down against lesser fighters and don't think he's dealt with a fighter as relentless as Cotto. Maybe I'm just underestimating Yuri, or think Cotto hasn't lost too much.

Obviously my official pick is Cotto via late Tko, but we will see soon enough.

No matter what happens, the fight's going to go exactly as Emmanuel Steward thought it would.

Is this the same magazine that picked Spinks over Tyson?

I'm not being cynical, but is Foreman really that likely to win a fight where a majority decision is rendered?

The Ring is about as reliable as Teddy Atlas, so I wouldn't exactly hold their view in the highest regard.

Dude, that was like 20 years ago. Pick a fight they screwed up a little more recently.

    This.

I've posted recently I have a feeling there is going to be some sort of controversial ending, whether it be early tko, or close decision. But I feel Cotto will be the one rewarded with either the tko or close decision.

What if he deserves to win it clearly but gets an MD instead of a UD?

I've noticed, I just didn't see so many people picking Yuri to take this one.

Like I've said, I don't think Yuri is a walk in the park to beat, I just don't think this is Cotto's hardest fight yet.

It's not his hardest fight, Pacman and Margo were his hardest...and we all no what happened.

For what it's worth I say cotto beats him over 12, although I was shocked to c the size difference between the two. Yuri could easily jab his way to a points win.

my just concern on foreman winning the fight is how cotto's power will be at 154. if foreman can handle cottos best shot very well then cotto will lose! but i had the feeling that it will be cotto's body shot that can win him in this fight!

If the fight is close... i'm pretty certain Cotto will get the nod. It's just how politics work... unless Arum is secretly trying to turn Foreman into a star... which i don't think he is... I think he'd rather Cotto win and then set up a rematch with Manny or set a fight up with Sergio Martinez
