The Ring Report Card: Bernard Hopkins vs. Roy Jones

Yeah, ok. Compare PPV numbers with Joe C between the two...Roy is now and has always been much more marketable than BHop...without the Golden Girls

 

Fail...Roy's speed and reflexes were so off the chain that his skill were always underated. No way you did what he did with average skills.

 

At his stage of their careers yes but Overall Jones was far better than Hopkins could ever dream of being.

Also interesting that Hopkins is a Golden Boy fighter who ...dont Golden Boy own RING???

What did you expect from Golden Girl?? Especially after Roy put de la hoya back into hes g-string with hes recent comments. Jones B for talent? what a JOKE. A plus if anyone is. Achievment Aplus for Hopkins?:rofl:rofl Yeh okay golden boy...after another cathchweight win vs a smaller fighter give him an A ++.......and the one that really made me laugh.....Hopkins is more marketable than Jones...b+? I dont buy into the golden gurl. Havent picked up a copy of the ring mag for a long time.

Well now that jones is way past his prime no doubt his talent is not as good as he once was. I don't really know why his still fighting. He should have retired years ago.

 

prime for prime roy was light years ahead of nard. That is fact. Yes, if they fought today now they are old, nard would win. However, at one time roy was so special no one could touch him and we shouldnt ever forget that, have you ever seen anybody else ko someone by throwing a hand that started behind their back? Or ever seeing a cleaner body shot than the punch that beat virgil hill?

 

Totally agree.

 

I agree with Hopkins marks, but some of Roy's are way off
