    I disagree.

many boxing fans who actually folow the fights don't realize how many casual fans actually buy ppv fights. And I can tell you with substantial certainty that the average casual fight fan knows Roy Jones much more than Bernard Hopkins.

Roy Jones would outdraw Hop 2 to 1 right now.

Roy is really calling Hopkins' bluff bigtime!

I've never said a boxer is scared of another fighter...but Hops is obvious scared at the idea of losing.

Hopkins may have more relevant win(s) of late but he's NEVER been a draw or accepted by casual/mainstream fans as Jones was.

These categories change every year. Jones was ranked over Hop in all of these catagories for years until Jone's lost those two back to back fights.

@# lol... Hop does not want Jones to be able to dictate anything at all. These aren't the old days where the winner gets the lion's share of the pot.

I can't agree with much of that report.

Jones' talent was several levels above what Hop ever had.

Achievement ? again, Jones has the better resume. By far.

Marketability ? Jones made more $$$ in the last half of the nineties than Hop has made in his whole career.

Support system ? Need more info as to what that is.

    Growth potential? Obviously Hopkins.

(In the same way that my boxing growth potentil is greater than Floyd's.

One of us is at the top and the other has nowhere to go but up).

Overall, Jones. And by a good margin.

This article is about where they are now, not in their primes or All Time or anything like that, and most of what RING put down isn't far from the truth. Both should obviously be A+ in achievements, an 'A' for Hopkins in talent seems right, and Roy is probably still at 'B' level, neither guy is very marketable at this stage, etc. Nothing is really that off the mark.
