I know the only way a fighter loses his Ring belt is if he retires, moves in weightclass, or loses a championship fight. But, this was the BIGGEST robbery I have ever seen! Casamayor didn't do **** the whole fight. The Ring belt is supposed to represent the good guys of boxing, and not be like all the sanctioning bodies. If they stand for the goodness of boxing, they should take Casamayor's belt away, as he CLEARLY lost.

The WBC should also give the interim belt to Santa Cruz and give him a rematch with David Diaz, instead of making Casamayor fight him..... the way Casa looked tonight, I would actually pick ANY Diaz to beat him....Juan, Julio, or David.

    ...ok, I'm done ranting.

They wont take his belt away and he did "win," but I think it's clear that Casamayor is no longer the lightweight champion. Juan Diaz, David Diaz, Julio Diaz, Jose Santa Cruz, Manny Pacquiao, Joan Guzman, Michael Katsidis, and Humberto Soto all beat him. Casamayor was a fine champion and a wonderful fighter, but he's well past his prime and looks to be almost done.

I just feel bad for Santa Cruz. He was 2 rounds away from beating David Diaz with a comfortable decision, and he gets KO'd in the 10th rd. Now, he gets robbed of the Ring belt.

I can't wait for Casamayor to get in the ring with Juan Diaz, David Diaz, or any top Lightweight. He's gonna get schooled.

guys, the ring is not going to strip him.

Imagine the **** it'll start if ring starts stripping people for bad decisions. That means then they not only have to sift through all the alphabet organization ****, but they have to judge the fights as well. That opens the door for corruption, and they would be recognizing losses as wins and wins and losses that differ from official records, and it would create tons of controversy as even close fights like 7-5 would be deemed robberies and...etc, etc.etc...

the ring isnt touching that with a ten foot pole

If the Ring starts stripping people they'll be no better than the sanctioning bodies they take shots at. Their whole thing is having to beat the man in the ring to take his belt without the politics involved.

It's a shame cuz that's basically what happened tonight. Santa Cruz clearly won this fight.

Can't fighters make some sort of appeal of fight results such as these?

The Ring should have vacated that title after Corrales-Castillo II.

DLH & Shaeffer has a Hands on this. They just signed Casamayor & Just bought the Ring Magazine. They want to keep their invesment intact. They should be investigated.

    DLH is a honest man.
I think all Diaz would beat Casamayor and even Freitas (if he doesn't retire), who gave Juan a more competitive fight than Julio.
