"It is unlikely Capetillo will ever be re-licensed, but Margarito may slither back into the game when he applies in one year. Lifetime bans, not one year suspensions, are warranted. Also, the Los Angeles District Attorney should consider prosecuting both men for criminal conspiracy."

I agree, they should be prosecuted. Its likely alot more than what we've heard would come out in a criminal matter case......

Unfortunately, the CSAC inspectors loused it up when they let Richardson walk free with Margarito's handwraps out of the site of inspectors and to be handled by a handful of people.....
.....for the prosecution to present their evidence.......all the defense would have to do to get the matter thrown out of court is present to the judge the evidence of the handling of the wraps.

The case would never make it to trial imo, it would get thrown out of court in the initial stages of pre-trial.
.....and if that were to happen, they'd almost have to grant Capetillo and Margarito immediate re-instatement.

Its more likely that the CSAC has already struck a deal with Margarito and Capetillo that they will get re-instated within a specified time period.

If this matter goes even to pre-trial, the CSAC is going to get exposed to so many of their inadequacies most of us have no idea of.

Simply stated, I dont believe that the CSAC wants this matter to become a criminal matter....they'd be tying a noose around their own necks!

Btw, I cant vote for any of the choices presented on the poll......I think that the CSAC is hiding from us specifics to the lab tests that should come out before we can form an educated opinion if Capetillo and Margarito deserve jail time.

They could try, but it's doubtful they come to a solid conclusion on Margarito, unless Capetillo turned on Margarito and said he was aware the whole time. See, the thing is, they need to PROVE Margarito was aware of the wraps to fully punish him to the extent of the law. Otherwise it's he said she said.
