The Ring's new P4P list..

You obviously can't be having Khan in there if Bradley and Alexander aren't ahead of him.

Haye ahead of Vitali is also a bit unrealistic.

Mosley is a bit generous. He just lost a lopsided UD.

i also agree that putting khan ahead of alexander and bradley is questionable but its only a bit of fun so it doesnt really matter does it?! :yep

why do you think haye should be behind vitali tho? he unified the CW division and now hes a HW champion.

The funny thing is that even though you just made your list for a laugh, it's better than some of the ones you'll see in the general forum.

As for Haye being behind Vitali, you have to keep in mind that the lists are based on recent activity, as opposed to all-time lists which take a whole career into account.

Best list i've seen in a while, but I reckon you could replace JuanMa with Dirrell (not that I like the guy). But in any case, number 10 is pretty much an open spot.

problem with having vlad in is then it would have to be judged on achievement rather than skills. he is the very definition of a fighter exploiting his size. if most other fighters were his size he would lose. but this argument is well trodden...

To the guy who mentioned Bute if it was in response to me. I never said he was top 10 P4P, I merely stated that the he arguably has a better resume than Wonjongkam. Neither of them are top 10 right now in my opinion. If the ring based theirs on talent or potential rather than results, then perhaps Lopez, Gamboa or even Rigondeaux could be argued to be ahead in those stakes.

Regarding the Vitali / Haye comment. I don't think Haye has to be ranked ahead of Vitali at HW to be ahead of him in a P4P ranking since Vit is about 30lbs heavier and 4 1/2 inches taller, I don't think it matters if they are in the same weight divisions, the whole meaning of pound for pound shouldn't suddenly go out the window because the weight classes stop at HW.

 

I've noticed they always pick or elevate, slightly obscure, niche fighters like Caballero, Pong etc. As if it lends the list more credibility.

Why's Mosley still 5?

 

It's not only size with Wladimir. He's got the best jab of any fighter at the moment, regardless what weight they fight at (in other words, "P4P" best jab).

They're different sizes, but Haye simply hasn't looked impressive at heavyweight (although it's impressive that he made the climb and held his ground), while Vitali has been harpooning guys like Arreola who were considered genuine threats.
