Considering the amount of awful posters and posts you have to wade through to get to the good posters, it is still far more efficient to read a mag and find the good boxing journalists.

I'm basing p4p list solely on accomplishment and resume. His resume is not good enough for this spot. It's not his fault but it's like Rigo case. He might be great or not. It is hard to base on one great performance against Donaire and streak of B- fighters. Broner was ranked top5 by ring because they saw great potential in him. Potential is so subjective though. And 99% of posters on here have agenda. The only one that seems really objective to me is IB.

Because divisional rankings are based on resume in the division and p4p now is based largely on personal opinion.

I've never known how did the Ring ratings actually work.

They move down Klitschko for 3 stops while non of the fighters actually had any fights for that period of time.

Uchiyama gets removed from the list, Brook gets put on the list, and neither of them fought. How is that possible?

It's more than obvious that some corrupt things have happened within Ring magazine.

And then people say P4P is serious.

Anyone who voted for a FLYWEIGHT to be the best boxer in the world should be banished. And any publication that prints that should be shelved.

How can a grown man who is the size of a TWEEN GIRL ... 5'3" 112 pounds ... and who hasn't fought any men bigger than a middle-schooler ... be considered the BEST fighter in the world? Seriously.

    Enough already.

Wlad Klitschko can beat everyone in Ring's Top 10 list. He's the best fighter pound-for-pound in the world.

It's certainly not a guy who won't fight anyone larger than a 12-year-old girl.

This nonsense has to stop. :hi:

I'm cool with Chocolacito as the number one p4p. But yeah, Wlad should probably be up there, and I'd rate Inoue and Yamanaka above Brook right now.

Andre Ward is actually the most unbelievable pick on there and somewhat contradictory when considering he's neither rated at SMW or LHW by the Ring??!! Just on the p4p rankings??? It's really embarrassing how they're having to shoehorn in a American into the top 5. TBH, Like everything that involves Ward , it stinks!!

The vast majority of the grown men in the world weigh more than 108 pounds. 99.99 percent of grown men on the earth weigh more than 108 pounds.

AND IF you're a grown man on earth and you weigh less than 108 pounds, the odds are you are either about to die from some horrible illness or you're waiting for emergency food relief supplies to be delivered to your tribe, and you're too weak to swat the flies off your eyes.

Most healthy, grown men don't weigh 108 pounds. I know there are a handful. Gonzalez has probably faced most of them.

But if you're the KING of that fractional minority... that doesn't mean much.

If beating a grown man who is 5'6" and weighs 120 pounds would be a BIG STEP UP for you ... you aren't the best fighter in the world.

The odds are Wlad Klitschko can beat everyone in the world right now. Any man who walked up to him, Wlad could beat.

A fat guy at the local bar could sit on Gonzalez's chest for two minutes and kill him.

Gonzalez isn't the best fighter in the world. You don't get to be by fighting the smallest people from the smallest pool of fighters in the world.

He's beaten no one most people walking the street couldn't beat if they were angry.

Television distorts things. On TV, all the fighters are the same size.

If you haven't been to a flyweight fight in person, go to one.

It's like watching a couple fourth graders swinging for the fences. That rating is a joke.

    Well, so be it.

Pound for pound, Gonzalez displays the best skill-set against the highest caliber of boxer of anyone in the game. He displays a varied offensive attack and effective defence against guys who may be small, but are far more technically adept than the average guy on the street.

If you can't appreciate that, then that's your problem.
