they always have to shoehorn an American into there top 5's

they did an amateur p4p top 5 and they put a youth boxer shakur Stevenson in there top 5 dispite him never having a senior contest. When he did have his first senior conrest he couldn't even win his own nationals:lol:

Certainly the skills appear to be there, but shouldnt p4p go by who has beaten who and not who we think would beat who?

Actually, it looks like Solis is pretty adamant that it was Canelo that he had the altercation with. Who is FAR from an ordinary fighter. A P4P star himself. Nice try with that fugazi argument though.

Good job on criticising a pound for pound list for being a pound for pound list.

It's better than 95% of posters' p4p lists. Put Rigondeaux above Kovalev and GGG and it's not so bad. Ward's a p4p talent, there's no debate. If you don't think his inactivity or recent opposition merits a spot don't include him at all, but listing him but at well below top 3 is just stupid. I'd prefer Inoue, Estrada, or Nietes, but Brook's not out of place at 10. Previous editions were a lot worse, with Broner high.

What's bizarre about the Ring's p4p is their changes are so random. They had Canelo there but removed him because he took a chance against the number 1 p4p, but beat good fighters in Lara and Kirkland. I don't agree with Klitschko as number 2, but if he was higher before why was he knocked down after a pretty impressive win??

I don't think there's a'right' p4p that everyone has to agree on. So I think it would be cool if a media outlet instead of proclaiming their list as 'the' p4p just surveyed their writers p4p lists, average it out, and published it as the 'consensus' p4p. At least that can show if a figher's widely regarded as p4p.
