Taken into deep waters and almost drowned by Erik Oldrales. Was on his way to getting stopped by Khan as his face turned into a bloody mask of horror. I, for one, thought Danny sucked. But then he puts on a virtuoso performance against a rampaging Lucas and I thought the sky was the limit for him. Then his career becomes a complete utter joke! What happened? I think Lucas punctured his soul w/ them wicked body shots and took the prime out of him.
What happened was he thought he was a big shot and expected Herrera to be a relatively easy fight (compared to Khan & Lucas) then got schooled in his "homecoming" to Puerto Rico. Hit rock bottom fought Salka Managed to find his nuts again and fight Matthysse's leftovers in Peterson but yet again showed his mediocrity. now fighting old man Paulie who will fight at a nice low pace and won't hit him hard. Younger Paulie could easily decision his ass as well :rofl. It's not like the money and fame got to him either...he still has/had focus...just doesn't have the ability. I feel now he will probably just become complacent and be happy & enjoy with his paydays...I don't expect much from him at 147.
Pretty much. He really hasn't been the same since the Matthysse fight. He won fair and square, but I always wondered how it would have played out if Matthysse's eye hadn't gotten closed so freakishly fast. Just seems like Garcia has since seemed to lack, well, something...... Even in the Judah figh, he looked spent and very beatable.
"The Rise and Fall of Cherry Garcia"? Did you see his purse last night? If Garcia career is a joke, what do you call your very existence. This moron.atsch
If by "on his way to getting stopped" you mean, was competitive but lost the two first rounds. Was drawing even in the 3rd THEN knocked down in the 3rd and stopped him in the 4th. Is that what you mean by "on his way to getting stopped"?
He's always been average. Khan has a glass jaw and pretty much sucks, no shock there. He lucked out that Matthysse's eye closed. Lucas still managed to break him physically. Il Maestro took his soul and broke his mind, And now nothing is left but a void that used to be known as Swift Garcia.:deal
I'm not a professional athlete. My career as a consultant is not for public review and scrutiny. With that said, how successful is Cherry Garcia? He is one of boxing biggest jokes, if not THE biggest.
Very appropriate song for Swift, with demons of Matthysse and Herrera dancing in his head.:deal Read the lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur4Pn28KFug
