I dont rate him, he was wrapped in cotton wool and to give you and exmple of how much of a big name is ... that same day Geale beat him, HBO had a telecast and were talking about all the names in the Middleweight division and blokes without belts were getting more of a mention, the only mention Geale got was a quick, geale beat felix strum in germany this morning and then they started talking about other fighters... Even Quillin was getting more of a wrap.

How can you swing from choc's nuts when he fought and beat nobody of note in his career then in the same breath belittle Geales achivments.

Danny did what no man has done. Went to Germany twice and won 2 world titles. Choc did what no man has done and ducked 3 world titles in 3 desending weight divisions.

Fine me a thread or quote where I've said Mundine has fought great opposition.

Also I'm not belittling Geale, I'm saying he needs to strike while the irons hot.

Its not a question of whether you rate Sturm or not.

Sturm was a big name until Geale beat him. Its a pointless exercise trying to argue he wasn't.

Disagree, He wasn't as big as you are making out, why did no big names chase him then?

Sturm was the WBA champion for years with about 12 successful defences, and also held the WBA super champion title.

Felix Sturm was a big name until Daniel Geale got a hold of him. Its a pointless exercise trying to argue otherwise. Why waste your time with such a baseless argument?

So why didn't he fight any mega names, apart from DLH?

He lived in his own little world and the big names didn't care about him

Sturm was a big name. I can't believe anyone would waste their time trying to argue otherwise.

That's right, you can't find any, coz they don't exist mate.

I'd even go as far to say that Mundine has the better names on his resume than Sturm. :good

Top opponents over the last 6-7 years, Wow, how did he defend his belt 12 times? What a machine

He was in Germany, but in terms of his standing, he's been on the end of very questionable decisions (Macklin, Murray, Griffin) but at the sametime has been on the otherside of bad decisions (DLH of course, Soliman and Geale).
