Fair enough. All the same, I wouldn't mind starting with a mag such as this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/KO-Boxing-Magazine-HECTOR-MACHO-CAMACHO-January-1986_W0QQitemZ120353714119QQihZ002QQcategoryZ31635QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247#ebayphotohosting

You've got to think that Whitaker would be one of the ten tough targets Macho was aiming at. He was one of a handful of guys Hector called out after the Ramirez bout so I wonder....

Seems to be a lot of mags being sold in bundles of 6 across the 80's. Might be a few worthy ones in there too.:good

I got in ages ago and was buying like bundles of 12 and 20 to fill holes when they still did the cheap shipping by boat thing. Great reading tho these types of mags, something in almost every one. The covers give enough away to find the particularly fascinating ones.

    Cheers :good

Good work! I'll keep a look out for some good offers on ebay in the near future.

I have a feeling sooner rather than later that people are going to start scanning these mags and making them available in pdf format to see on computer. Could fit plenty of scanned pages on just a few DVDs. Would be great to pick them all up in a few DVDs. Helps preserve their quality too. They aren't going to get faded on DVD discs.

Whitaker's in the ten, but no mention of them sparring there or elsewhere in the mag.

Why would i be delighted? I am all for good sources from all sides regarding comments, runours and happenings. It won't worry me one iota when we all eventually find it. It's got all of us intrigued. Do you think SS and i would be looking if we hoped it didn't exist? We just want the bottom line, one way or another.

Regardless tho Stewards sparring comments hold respectable water. Now to find your claims.

Yeah, it would definitely throw the cat in amongst the pigeons if we find a source saying Hector got the better of it. It is intriguing and I'd love to know about it.

Red, do you remember who said that Hector 'abused' Pernell? Was it Hector himself or a journo?

Probably Hector i'd say, and man he talked some ****.

If this article is found we might be dealing with two different sessions right?

The bottom line tho, lets say there is another spar and Whitaker is less than a year out of the pros' shouldn't a prime Camacho dominate him anyway? Not like Whitaker's unknown and given his accolades and the public's future expectations it's pretty safe to say Camacho would be trying his guts out.
