You can blame it on Hector for being #1 for so long. Simply put, no one could compete with him. He was the Roy Jones of the 1980s. He owned the 80s

Oh rubbish. He was always going to whallop this one and whallop that one but when push came to shove he didn't fight most of them them.

He fought the lesser regarded Limon instead of Mayweather for his 130 pound title. Mayweather was considered pretty much as hot at the time and many believed he could beat Camacho. Then he won at 135 over Ramirez and never ended up fighting the very highly regarded Paul and Bramble. Paul was rated ahead of Camacho at 135 after Camacho beat Ramirez and Bramble was soon to be P4P number 3 in the world. Paul and Bramble tho there were rumblings about Bramble before Rosario decimated him. He flat out REFUSED to fight Rosario again, even when Rosario won the other title and expressed interest in a lucrative unification bout.

He lacks those big wins, those exclamation marks. He was late 20's and just turned 30 when Haugen beat him and Chavez schooled him. This means no great longevity and no great win. The only 3 greats he fought that weren't over the hill all beat him easily.

The points you bring up are laughable, your brain capacity lower than it's ever been since I've known you.

believed he could beat Camacho? Some names please, back up your claims.

Actually that's just your opinion and and as usual you were wrong because the slightest tap to the chin and he was pretty much done for the night. Ask Rocky Lockridge. Ask Freddie Pendleton

This "hot property" you mention is more like a piece of dirt on a toxic dump.

Let's see, who else did you mention? Jimmy Paul who never gets discussion on this board, even by me. Most people are oblivious to this name.

When has anyone on this board ever brought up the name Jimmy Paul? You been reading to many mags like the fool you are! IBF champion for.....how long did you say? How many defenses?

Bramble who was stopped by a previous Camacho victim-ko by 2. Process of elimination.

By the way, I didn't see you accusing Hector of ducking JC during that time. That says a lot to me. You believe as I do that Chavez deliverately avoided him but you won't come straight out and confess. Much the same way you won't confess that how you made a fool of yourself that night "come on Rooster, show us your evidence"

I know you don't like it when I bring it up, you always stay quiet when the subject comes up. It would be nice if you stayed quiet more often :D

Nice. Never seen her before. I thought she was a little amateur. Too skinny for my taste. Wouldn't throw her out the bed for farting though :D

Looks like you're giving this Rooster a serious drubbing going into the late rounds. This man couldn't win a fight with you if you had both hands tied behind your back.

That's quite juicy, coming from you

You know as well as i do The Black Mamba was considered all but or on par at this stage of their respective careers. The Mamba was champ more than 6 months before Camacho if you remember right, and more proven at that exact stage of their careers. Of course some would think Mayweather might be the better man at that time.

Well didn't you walk right into that one. At the stage i am talking Mayweathers chin was still not fully proven, nore Camacho's.

Pathetically wrong. Hindsight has no place in this one.

That's because they didn't live and breath the time. Paul was considered by many to be the best 135 (above fellow 135 Heccy) in the world at one time, before being exposed by Haugen. 5 years later there was Haugen, exposing Camacho's limitations!!

1 more defense than Camacho, and if we count Rosario beating Camacho as many do, well 3 more ;)

Bramble was champ for over two years. Where was Hector then?

We all know the answer to that one :good

Actually i didn't want to give you room for your foundationless tirade that Chevez ducked the featherfisted Camacho

    Evidence?

She ain't my type, Pea. I wouldn't say "no". I prefer good looking older women. Far sexier and appealing IMO.

And regarding her shape in JT's avatar, nope. I like curvy women. I actually find her off putting based on her body shape.

I'm not into women the size of a beach whale, but matchstick girls aren't much better.

Roy Jones still managed to beat Bernard Hopkins and James Toney, two fighters most are inclined to agree are great fighters.

Who are the greats Camacho beat?

Roy Jones would have been the Camacho of the 90's if he never fought Toney and Hopkins and ran from a rematch with Montel Griffin (Rosario analogy), before finally taking a beating from Dariuz Michelczewski (Chavez analogy).
