The rise of (eastern) EURO boxing..........has it had a positive inpact???

BTW troll the Latin countries and the US have the E.Euro's outnumbered by far and have been competing for far longer.

Most of the East Europeans are more exciting to watch than the huggers (Ruiz, Skelton) runners (Byrd) featherfists (Johnson, Donald) and slow movers (Briggs).

Chagaev vs. Calloway II, Ibragimov vs. Whitaker, and Lyakhovich vs. Brewster and many others obviously were entertaining.

Wlad's brutal KOs of Barrett, Bostice, Brock, McCline, Byrd etc were very much worth watching IMO!! :thumbsup

And now we have Povetkin, one of the most exciting heavyweights to come along in years! He throws 70 to 90 punches per round. Who would you sooner see, Eddie Chambers with his "ear-muff" defensive style, or Povetkin?

 

I dont know, aside from Wlad the talent level is extremely low at the top level. Chagaev, who I like, has ducked Iggy, and just fought a lame match against Skelton, Maskaev, has not fought anyone in nearly a year and hasn't fought a significant fight since Rahman in the summer of 06, Iggy, his best wins are over Briggs, over an asthmatic body builder and a mid 40s Holyfield, he also has a draw over a guy Wlad blew out with strictly his left hand in the 2nd round of there fight last year.

The Euro's not only postpone and cancel too many fights, but they come of as extremely boring to the American people, in and outside of the ring, which is a big part of the reason the Heavyweight division is srtuggling popularity wise in the United States.

 

No it leads to more dominant performances.

The Euro's have 100 years of making up to do...this would have alot to do with it.

Anthony Florian Zaleski was a Pole.But of course you would say that it was Graciano who made the fight exciting.
