The Rise of Floyd Mayweather "TBE" (FILM-DOCUMENTARY)

Pretty good docco. No novel info for anyone who's followed Floyd's career, but it's laid out well. I'll watch part 2 when it comes out.

 

Loved him up to 140, and respected the Canelo fight, after that it was all downhill

 

You like to follow a cheat and fraud if it makes you happy that's awesome. He was very good but his unwillingness to fight on an even playing field robbed himself of being great.

 

Did the "The Rise of Mayweather" flop harder than The Rise of Skywalker?

Mayweather has a much better story line.

BUT Then he got the offer of Vegas cash cow & sold his soul to the devil & let the corruption keep his career going THEN is when he lost me entirely as well as many others. Plus IF Floyd did have the balls to fight him he'd have done a Cotto on him walked through him, beat him down & then maybe Tony would be headed to the HOF & even Fighter of the Decade. But sadly Floyd didnt have the balls & the only way they could get rid of him was to railroad him I'd vote Tony into the HOF in a heartbeat but not Floyd

 

Nah the whole world knows he lost damn near every meaningful fight he ever had. He also lost to Jones ffs lmfao!!! He's a disgraced glove loading cheat that's what he will be remembered for.

 

Documentaries can be interesting viewing even if you aren't huge on the subject or subject matter. I like challenging myself and despite not being a fan I do recognize his obvious talent and find the amateur and first half or so of his pro career intriguing enough to possibly give this a view.

I started watching, went forward to a random point, first thing I hear "to want to put my money in a big house". Zzzz... Not interested. Same ol' Floyd. No personality. Only talks about money.

 

No he robbed himself of the title of greatest fighter of the era. You don't get there by cherry picking every fight against boxers and fighting an mma fighter. He probably had a clause against Conor in case he got in trouble Mcgregor had to fake a broken ankle.
