I realize there are a lot of Marciano diehards as ESB in addition to great fans and students of the game. I strongly recommend anyone who wants to really learn about Marciano read Russell Sullivan's excellent book called "Rocky Marciano: The Rock of his Times" . It is a very good read on the man, his opponents and his time.

Seconded, good book and fairly objective unlike a lot of Ali books that are floating about.

I have it too, and to some peoples surprise I haven't yet read it... well I'm within the first few chapters at this point. I know Sullivan from his involvement in the Rocky: A Life Story DVD and his involved with the Superfight DVD. He seems to be objective it seems to be very knowledgeable.

I'd recommend reading Marciano: The Fighter Who Refused To Lose. That's a terrific and very detailed and insightful read. A good read too. Emert Skerhan (spelling) is on Marciano's sportscenter. This book is updated version of his America's First Son book on Marciano from 77. Great read, good book.
