Foreman the heavyweight champ and huge favorite at the time had proven himself in the ring against all the fighters that had beaten Ali. George destroyed those opponents. The Rumble in the Jungle is postponed by a CUT. Everyone could see the cut and the blood streaming down Foremans face during the sparring session. With Haye you just have to accept what he is saying (that his hand or his back) is injured.

    One major difference.

It was the champion who was CLEARLY injured. He didn't have a ****in' choice. Ali was ready to fight and George wasn't. He had to give Ali the title shot as it was he who delayed the bout due to injury.

In today's case, it was the CHALLENGER who pulled out. Wlad has no obligation to postpone an event for which thousands have booked and paid travel and accommodations. There probably has to be an event of some kind on June 20.

There is nothing wrong with Haye getting a shot later (he jumped the normal line-up here anyway), but he's owed nothing if he doesn't make the date originally set.

On another point of logic and reason, YOU and several other usually sane and sensible posters with usually decent points to make, have got your heads wedged far up your arses !

How the **** can anyone say Wlad wants no part of the fight ?

He signed for the ****in thing and trained for it and is ready to fight.

    It's Haye who's pulling out, FFS !

I believe that Haye is injured (though the extent and circumstances are a little fishy) and I've said in another thread that I don't believe he's bitchin' out of this one.

However, a case could be made that he's looking for an excuse to avoid the fight and hence manufactured one.

(As I said, I don't believe so, but it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest the possibility.)

No such case can be made regarding Wlad.

If he didn't want to fight, he didn't need to sign. And if he signed, and later wanted no part of Haye, HE could have pulled out.

    This is not rocket science.

As I said, if the fight doesn't happen it's probably nobody's fault.

    injuries happen.

But if you still insist on assigningt blame, that blame must lay with the guy who pulled out.

Foremans cut was indiputable. Hayes injury would have to be proven by MRI either on the hand or back. What conspiracy are you talking about ? That Haye is faking it because he hasn't produced any proof of injury? People tend to doubt someone spending all his time telling the world how easily he will dispatch of Klitschko now comes up lame. Looks like a guy that bit off more than he can chew to some. I don't care as long as they are both in the ring in top form with no excuses.

Have you ever heard about injuries in boxing?
Presuming a boxer is faking an injuriry is pure hating.
You have proofs everytime a fither is injured?
Or, maybe they are all fakes?

You think they would spit on a huge amount of money because they are scared? Pro fithers are not scared. If you dont understand that then i can't help.

The topic was about the two injuries. Foremans was OBVIOUS. Hayes is not obvious without lab verification. I am not accusing Haye of faking. I am saying that many can misconstue what is going on with him in the face of the biggest test of his life. You must be one helluva Haye fan to imagine insuations about every post that concern him. Relax and take it easy bro. Things will work out I promise.
