Here is an excerpt from an interview with Plechko's manager:

Have you already made further plans?

The next battle is already planned for him in a few weeks in St. Petersburg. He does not mind fighting anyone, it's a big plus. But we need to raise the level of his opposition. Rostislav has already been approved as an official contender for the vacant WBA Asia heavyweight belt. Also, we are negotiating for a duel for the WBC International Silver title. He will have to wrestle with strong rivals for these belts during the summer.

    Weigh in results:

    Plechko:218 pounds
    Goncharov:222 pounds

Plechko against Goncharov will be a 10 round fight for the Russian heavyweight title.

Can he be a world champion?

Maybe is Wilder give him a title shot he can become one of the champions, as the people Wilder struggled with in title shots are not as good, and don't hit as hard.

Based in what I have seen I do not think he is a top ten type of talent.

In September Rostislav Plechko will fight for the title of WBA-ASIA heavyweight title.

Petersburg boxer Rostislav Plechko 11-0 (11 KOs) will hold his 12th fight.

Rostislav Plechko is a Russian professional boxer, Russian boxing champion of 2016, serving in the heavyweight category, founder and president of the interregional public organization "ROST", whose tasks are crime prevention among youth, sports development, legal literacy.

Rostislav's opponent will be Laudelin Barrush, multiple Champion of Brazil in amateur and professional boxing.

Laudelinu Barrush is the best heavyweight contender in Brazil, he scored 39 wins with 3 defeats, 31 wins by knockout. He works and is friends with the legendary brothers Nogueira. Over the past 10 years, suffered only two defeats, one of them from Grigory Drozd. More than 5 years wore the title of champion of Latin America in the heavyweight version of the WBO. In amateurs, he became a silver medalist at the Pan-American Games and also went to the Olympics, where he lost to Danny Green, the one who turned Roy Jones off. The victory in this battle will open great prospects for Rostislav.

Recall that on June 10 in the "Boxing Academy" Floyd Mayweather in Zhukovka held an evening of professional boxing series "Prospect", where Rostislav met with the ex-champion of Russia in professional boxing Vladimir Goncharov. Thus, for the second year in a row Rostislav Plechko was able to win the belt of the Russian heavyweight champion.

According to the manager Rostislav Oleg Bogdanov, at the moment the boxer's team can not name the exact date of the battle. Earlier it was planned that the duel will take place in the framework of the tournament in Sochi on August 26.

"In connection with recent changes in the structure of the Federation of Boxing of Russia, the date and place of the fight are postponed, they will be announced additionally. It is possible that this will be the Saratov, we are counting on the beginning of September, "Oleg commented.

At the same time, the manager noted that the rival has been approved, and Rostislav's battle will take place with Laudelin Barrush.

This guy means business that's for sure and the back story is impressive, but dispatching fat guys in 1 - 2 rounds doesn't do much for him. Not trying to slag him off but he looks like awkward version of Joshua, specially when he jumps his opponent landing all over the place while looking for that money shot.

In this video, the poster in the background says " Success is 1% talent and 99% hard work ", this guy might just become a proof of that one day.
