It was a close fight, if Toney was boxing his "ears off" it wasn't going to be close enough to set an immediate rematch after it.

Great analysis! I completely agree. Plus u r right about him sayn he was the champion. Wlad beat the hell ot of mccline and peter gets dropped 3 times by mccline and he has the nerve to say he is the man. He beat grampa maskaev who has a glass jaw.

It's know sense argueing with u if you though peter won the first fight u know nothn about boxing. Toney outboxed so easy it was ridiculous. Hell he beat peter worse than wlad did. As a student of wushu i can tell you that i am taught how to kill opponents with shots to the back of the head and neck. However, it is only to b used in a life and death situation. How u thought peter beat toney is beyond me.

It is against the rules to turn your back on your opponent. Too bad most referees have yet to read the rule book.

I hate this thread, if Sam Peter's oppenents wouldnt turn there back and put there head down to avoid Peter's murderous punches, you would never see a rabbit punch from Samuel ever again. One quick question to the haters, why is it that Sam rarely gets a point taken away for these punches? I think the ref knows more about the rules than all of you.

Why is Peter the only fighter that has this problem?

    Is he a blatant cheater?

    Or

    Is he an uncoordinated buffoon?

    IMO Both

I will try and answer your first question, he is not the only fighter with this problem, young George Foreman, a raw fighter back in his day like Peter, had this problem as well. You can clearly see him hit many oppenents on the back of the head when they decided to turn there backs, he did it to Frazier, Lyle, and a few lesser known fighters in his younger days. Most great Heavyweights have cheated in the past, Tyson(Forearm/Elbow), Ali(posting, holding behind the head), Lewis(leaning on the back), Wlad(excessive clinching, leaning on the back)Holyfield(Headbutts).

I dont consider Peter a blatant cheater, on a few occasions he has let his anger get the best of him(Toney,Diaz), and had points taken away for it, but he is no worse than many other fighters in the division.

He is very coordinated, you get in the ring and try hitting a moving target, it's alot harder than it looks. He's the 2nd best Heavyweight in the world, he didnt get that ranking being buffoon like you suggested.
