I'm personally in better shape than Danny Williams..............:rofl

Chris has me beat, but I don't box for a living either. :deal

Arreola should be cut up. That mean-ass face with a ripped body will scare the **** out of the division. It's not the same when you just have the mean face with man boobs...............

Wlad would dominate Frazier from distance with his power left jab and then finish up with his overhand right. Liston bitched out against Ali twice and frankly is before my time so is hard to evaluate against Wlad. Foreman and Lewis beat Wlad in exciting fights. Wlad of 2008 is not easy to hit flush so even these two legends have to work for their victory.

so lets be clear: you think arreola doesnt just have a chance against the klitsch's but actually will BEAT BOTH OF THEM IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS????

well if he gets very discplined he could land a lucky one against wlad but the speed and power of the klitschkos is waaay too much for arreola to handle...

Yah the other guys is skelton who gets out of shape...hes currently Uks 2nd best heavy??

Regardless I agree that if Arreola wants to achieve real world status he will need to train harder. Not every guy needs to look like wlad..look at Jeff Lacy he cant even throw shots being that thickly muscled. The best guys have flexibility and smoohtly muscled.

Arreola, if he would train like Bhop or Manny. He would be an even more dangerous fighter.

I am not dogging Arreola btw..here is what I typed in another thread..

I am "Hopeful" for Arreola. He has a crowd pelasing style so its hard not to like him.

He has good power, throws plenty of shots, has respectable handspeed for a big guy, good amateur career, has size, has rspectable stamina and shows a good chin.

On the downside, he is a plodder, he telegraphs his shots, he defintely needs someone to train him who can motivate him. He doesnt need to get ripped, but he would benefit from being more in shape. His defense isnt the best and he eats jabs. A master boxer and mover would make him look bad. Luckily, there arent any of those at the elite level right now.

Us USA guys need a heavy, he is one of the best prospects. I am hopeful for him but certainly not convinced or overly excited.

I think he has issues with both. Heavyweights, as big as they are, are still very much capable of taking hard shots, or at least should be.

The Vitali vs Lewis fight was a primary example of this. Lewis took so many hard straight right hands in that fight, from a huge puncher in Vitali, but he never looked badly hurt. Likewise, Vitaly was hit with some huge shots, and he was still able to continue.

Wladimir has almost non existance punch resistance, and although he has advantages in height and reach, he still hasn't utilised those advantages properly. All three times he has lost, all ended by knockout. With the exception of maybe Brewster, he had no business getting knocked out by Sanders or some guy called Ross Purrity. I'd be willing to except these as flukes, much likes Lewis KO losses were, but I've yet to see a fight where Wladimir takes a really good shot.

Lewis was just as big as Klitschko, but he found the angles much better than Wlad. I envision Lewis taking Wladimir's best shots early on, if he had to, before eventually landing his right hand on Wladimir, who gets hit by much shorter and lesser opposition than Lewis.

It'd be great to give Wladimir the benefit of the doubt, but he's beaten nobody to suggest he'd be competitve with the elite in history. Also, the fact he has been knocked out and dragged around the ring against opponents such as Peter, Purrity, and Sanders, doesn't boad well for him, unfortunately.

We'll wait to see how he closes his career, before we start picking him to beat the likes of Louis, Lewis, Ali, or Foreman. I don't see it.

What about Ibragamov? Chagaev? Valuev? Povetkin? The Klitschkos?

Those guys aren't ripped to the gills but the fact is they don't look like ****ing ridiculous slobs either.

    exactly!!!

when people rate lewis, they rate him off the tyson performance but forget him getting beat by racman. yet when they rate wlad they rate him when he was still in his 20's; the 30+ wlad is a different animal, he is better at pretty much everything and he just entered his peak over the last couple of years, and since then wlad has barely lost a round

Arreola is only 5-10 lbs heavier then wlad in all honestly and wlad is 6'6 and Arreola is 6'4. Arreola has good stamina. Id like to see him 235 to a max of 240.

The Klistchkos are probably the only ones with a legit physiche. The rest of them have very simple sort of body structures to them but they have tremendous stimina.

HOW can you POSSIBLY know whether Arreola has good stamina if he blows all these cans out before the 5th round? He's completely untested. The point everyone is making is that he comes in at a weight way above what he should and is hampering not just his career but his life expectancy by hotshotting weights. He weighed 238 two fights ago...he weighs 254 now? Come on that's dangerous no matter HOW ya put it.

purrity???? wlad beat peter by taking peters shots getting up and dominating him late in the fight.... purrity ONLY WON because of fatigue purrity didnt even win a round and wlad was a kid and inexperienced late in the fight caused him the fight... with sanders he was hit flush and agsin he was a kid for being a HW they brought him along way to quick...

wlad has much better D now, he is not the same fighter... why dont you rate lewis on his ko loss only???

you are the typical person who says wlad cant take a shot b/c he got kod by sanders but lewis can take wlads best when lewis couldnt even handle rachmans best

all of wlads losses came from TKO he has NEVER BEEN KOD FOR 10 SECONDS...

you are the typical wlad hater that over states his loses when he was a kid but wlad dominating for the last few years means nothing....

That's all I'm saying Arreola should weigh around 230-235 or so & be cut up from the roadwork & endurance training necessary to fight at the top level.

I would not classify Arreola's competition as Cans, he has fought some very decent fights. Not world beaters, but very respectable resume for a guy his age. He has been in there with some very solid prospects.

Arreola may not have been taken very deep yet, but he works well for his size and apparent lack of conditioning. Hes pretty consistent round to round, throws a lot of punches for a heavy of his size. He's gone 8 solid rounds with a respectable fighter in malcom Tann.
