The Samuel Peter Appreciation Thread

Yeah, here we are trying to make an appreciation thread to one of our favorite fighters and we got all these clowns crashing the thread. You know it just gets frustrating.

 

He does, his jab is also very underrated as well. Peter just needs a new team, and has to go back to his older style of fighting, thats what won him most of his matches.

Peter has not earned being considered a "legend" yet. By saying that you are placing him with some of the all time greats; and frankly, his accomplishments do not warrant that title. Not saying he won't get there, just not there yet.

 

I believe curly is being funny lol. Nobody here at esb is a bigger fan of sam's then me and I even know that Peter is not that good but he is my fave. If he took boxing seriously and was inshape he could be hell for any heavyweight but Peter 09 Version is **** at this moment in time

 

Sam is a great person. Hopefully he can rededicate himself.

It's my money:good How how did he underachieve???? He won the WBC heavyweight belt when people like you think he is uttercrap. You don't become the champion of anysport if you don't posses some skill

 

You're right - it's your $$. I never said he was utter crap, I just don't get this type of hard-on for him. When comparing his accomplishments to the accomplishments of other great fighters, he just does not measure up. Winning a belt does not make somebody a legend. If you follow that logic, then Ruiz is a legend.

My problem with him is that he could have accomplished so much more if he remained focus - I truly hope he gets back on track.
