    why is why if you’re a big athletic dude in the USA, you hope you’re talented at basketball. May retire with ****ed joints but your noggin will be fine.

    Like they’re reliant on the US? Why do they really care what the law in the US is? Base their organization in the UK or something.

    and who is to say that bill couldn’t pass through US congress? seems like the kind of nonpartisan thing that some lobbying money could easily push through by paying off the right representatives and senators, and Trump is buddies with Dana so he’d sign it.

    best bet against it is hoping there’s some high profile senator who is a boxing fan and takes an interest. No idea who that would be. Senator Gallego is a boxing fan and has had fight watch parties with people from his state, but who knows where he’d come down on it, and he’s not high profile.

    US is the biggest market, I think if they want to hold events in the US (which they definitely do) then they need to comply with the Ali act or get it revised, hence all this effort

    Otherwise as you said they can just base the company elsewhere including Saudi

    I guess my assumption is that the main revenue is off TV views, not venue ticket sales.

    Ya it will be but I guess they would want to try to squeeze every penny they can as TKO is public & need to keep delivering record profits to their shareholders

    So why not try & see how it pans out since they have a friendly admin currently in the white house. If it doesn't pass, well they would have at least tried when they had a very favorable admin in power

    Going by who has co-sponsored it so far, its mainly Republican led so far with a couple of dems signing up for it.

    Sherees Davis (a 1-0 former MMA fighter) is 1 of the Dems & has been called out for her dishonesty by currently active MMA fighters
