If you gave Chavez the 11th its 117-110. Either way not close, and most all the rounds that Sergio won were very one-sided. Chavez showed heart though.
Outside of round 12, there were no clear Chavez rounds. He did better than he was doing in a couple of them, but I thought Martinez still outlanded him in those rounds. It was good to see the judges not come close to ripping Martinez off.
Why would you give Chavez the eleventh? :huh What would possess someone to do that? It was a shutout, except for the 10-8 round.
I wouldn't at all, but it was one of the few times where he landed multiple clean shots on him. Sergio still landed about twice as many and just as hard in the 11th. It was a shutout until Jr dropped him.
Complete shut out. Kind of reminded me of Chavez-Taylor. The ****in parallel was just too ridiculous once I saw that right landed on Sergio...
martinez schooled chavez. esb bought into the hype of JR looking great against mediocre opponents and forgot what martinez did to pav and paul williams, rather focusing on his last few fights where he looked bored fighting guys he didnt want to be in there with. shutting chavez out shows how fraudulent the WBC are for letting him parade around with the champs belt without beating the champ
11 round to 1 for Martinez. I thought Martinez was going to get knocked out in the 12th since he wouldn't hold on or stay away from Chavez after the knock down.
