Speculating ofcourse but remember Big George took 10 years off and lived a clean life. He didnt drink, smoke and chase women all nigh. That could have helped him when he resumed his career. It's an uncommon story.
The weight is irrelevant here. Lewis also added weight and he was knocked the **** out. Foreman always had a sturdy chin, does not matter the weight, the problem was his stamina in his first career because he was ready to destroy everybody in 2 rounds and then in his second career he was more patient picking shots using the jab ready for 12 rounds
Hahahah tommy morrison did hit harder than Tyson SAID BY RUDDOCK,TILLIS AND PINKLON THOMAS. Riddick bowe is not even in the same world in hitting power department( was bowe even a real puncher?). So it is a Bull****
I don't think he ever took a beating off a big puncher. Lyle is the nearest example. Alex Stewart and Moorer made a mess of his face but he wasn't concussed from those fights. Yes Bowe did have brutal power, go and see some of his KOs. Morrison was boxing on the backfoot too.
Morrison landed a lot of shots on Foreman chin. And Bowe was not even close to the puncher that Morrison was. Don't quote me anymore for a troll comment
KO'd has nothing to do with it. If anything, the fact that Jones Jr got knocked out and Bowe never did is probably why one is still coherent and the other can barely speak. Bowe's head has absorbed all that continued punishment and Jones' head didn't because he went out
This isn't a good enough explanation given that James Smith, George Chuvalo, and George Foreman took tons of punishment from several big hitters (way more than Bowe) and yet they are very coherent and clear headed. So clearly we need another explanation, which is what this thread is about.
George took 10 years off of fighting he didn't spar even for those years. Unlike Bowe or Ali George wasn't involved in many ring wars either.
Lewis had a larger frame than foreman, and pre weight gain didn't have a chin as good as young Foreman did. I agree with old Foreman pacing himself contributing to him never being dropped
Lewis was a little taller but Foreman definitely had bigger density of bone structure. George was naturally a thicker guy and lewis naturally was a skinny long kid
Under the circumstances I will not eviscerate so dumb, incomplete and antagonistic a response other than to say your knowledge and response is weak and you are obviously a troll.
What explanation do you need other than genetics? Some people recover from injury very quickly, some take a long time to recover. Some never recover from devastating injury, some are back to 100% fitness even after their doctors have told them they'll never be the same again. For whatever reason, Foreman's brain was a lot more resistant to being damaged, even in his older age when most fighters tend to get hurt a lot more and recover a lot less, than Bowe's
