since he is a master of cutting off the ring it would have to be someone who is capable of fighting in the pocket - combined with elite defense, a solid chin, and elite counter-punch ability.

    andre ward

    basically nailed it

reason why GGG's team is **** scared to move up

they arent afraid of anyone else at 68

ward in the pocket is the best out there

If Lara was hit to the body by canelo that many times then imagine what GGG body shot would do when Lara is trying to circle/run away from GGG? It would be over in a few rounds

How can you be afraid of a guy who doesn't fight?

After wards last lay off too he wanted a warm up fight,he will want another one when he comes back ,meaning that even if he does fight this fight won't happen for at least a year

Ouma IS that good. He's just fought the very best when they were the very best. And he was always in close, disputable contests as well.:think

They're not SCARED to move him up.....they're being crafty as to WHEN.

GGG is a SMALL MW. His team made a mistake of not starting him at WW. Had he started at WW, and naturally gained as he moved up, he'd been through the Laras, Canelos, and Trouts.

Instead, theyre stuck with a beast at MW, who is being strategically ducked.

When the SMALL GGG moves up to SMW, he'll have to put on MUSCLE, and that means NO MORE MW fights, EVER.

He's not like Chavez JR who started at LWW......The kid aint got no fat to lose as it is. Once he goes to 168, he's got to have GUARANTEED fights.....no more strategic ducking by his contemporaries. :nono

I can't see anybody beating him at 160. Ward has a decent chance at 168...That's about it really.

Lara would rather talk about it on twitter. It's a lot less dangerous.

GGG has only one real concern under 168, Ward.

Andre would be a very slight favourite.

Why do people seem to forget Lara struggling and barely winning over El Perro, people really have bad long term memory now days.

You people saying Andre Ward know that Ward hasn't fought since November 2013 and no one knows when Ward will be able to or choose to fight again, right?
Andre Ward is in court and he is not fighting.
You people need to understand that.

One punch to the liver and: "Down goes Lara, Down goes Lara!"

We don't know how good GGG is at Supermiddleweight. He might well be manhandled by naturally bigger elite Supers like Ward and Froch. I agree with George Groves. Golovkin looks like a natural middleweight and should just continue to dominate it and win titles. That's what Hagler did and he is considered an all time great.
