The 2008 boxing hall of fame class appears to a bit weak. Holmes is a slam dunk. Chang, Kane, Kinpetch, and Williams have a good shot. Naz has a shot as well.

Holmes, Chang, Yuh, Monaghan and Carruthers would be my top five from the list, then:

Archer, Fox, Gushiken, Kingpetch, and Williams....

But the Hall of Fame is a popularity contest so you can bet Curry and Naseem will be there...

IMO this year Holmes is pretty much the only true HOFer, but of course there will be the people who are borderline great that will get in too. The HOF is really starting to slip...or is it the quality of fighters?

A better game would be to pick a name on the list and justify why they should or should not be in.

Yeah, given some of the entrants in recent years.

Jung Koo Chang, Masao Ohba, Holman Williams, Marshall, and Brian Mitchell are my top picks.

The thing with Marshall is that he supposedly took a lot of money in arrangements as a "business" fighter. He was the definitive business fighter of the era, it seems.

It's unlikely that Williams and Cocoa Kid failed to take cash to carry or dive at some point but I agree - both of them are locks, if Williams doesn't get in, they should burn the building to the ground.
