ATTN: Bogie fans Sharif's Facebook account has been hacked. DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS that he might provide you via live chat or email message. He just chatted me out of the blue imploring me to take the test at "brainiaccheck.info" and compare my score to his 116. Well, I plugged that website into Google and it's totally sketchy, the very first hit was like "DO NOT CLICK THAT ****!".
Bogere is a nice dude. I chatted with him for a little bit after his fight with...Jose Hernandez, I think? He was on the undercard of the Escalante-Roman fight on the 26th and he sat a couple of rows from where I was sitting watching the last couple of fights. Nice guy took a couple of pics for some people that came up to him and what not. Really nice guy and easy to root for.
Another date with TBA looms on the Mosley-Mora PPV undercard! Here's hoping one or more of the main bouts ends in an early knockout so that Sharif can make it on the big stage in a swing bout! :happy
I heard Golden Boy signed Sharif. Did they like the ring entrance or the ring performance? Funny that Dan Rafael thinks his ring entrance is better, but Bogere is a pretty damn good prospect as well.
Bogere knocked out Julian Rodriguez in a dark match in support of Mosley vs. Mora. I really wish there was video of this. Rodriguez was due for a beating after his despicable behavior against Omar Figueroa a few months ago: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7106571&highlight=post7106571 It's good that Sharif keeps doing what he's supposed to do against the level of opposition they're feeding him, but soon it would be nice to see some of the meatier portions of the lightweight division thrown to the Lion! :happy
Hey man this guy is the **** when he comes in to fight, but he's abit inconsistent. He needs better publicity. People will love or hate this guy like they did with Naz. Bogere reminds me of the little warrior from Ace Ventura when nature calls. Boxing needs another Macho Man, Maromero, and Hamed. Sharif is that man.
That's great news! Speaking of Bogere, I just saw the Ilido Julio fight and was surprised how small the opponent was compared to a small-sized LWW such as Sharif. Julio's face was also familiar, so I looked him up, and damn! This is the Julio that fought Parra, Lopez, Donare etc. around flyweight. In fact, between April and October 2006, he moved up 5 divisions, and by April 2004, he was 7 divisions higher than a year before. Still, Bogere was a bit raw in there, but he's fun to watch whenever he fights or does the famous ringwalk.
No more lingering in the dark! :happy:happy Bogere will be headlining the May 13th edition of ShoBox: The New Generation. No more stagnant opposition, either. His foe on May 13th? Limited but dangerous JOHN MOLINA! :scaredas: War Bogie, war!
IB, Molina-Bogere fell apart about a week ago. Contract issues on Molina's side. Bogere will be fighting Raymundo Beltran most probably.
