The shavers punch that knocked down holmes :who recovers from it?

I think it's Bowe and Frazier of the aforementioned.

I highly doubt that. Look Frazier was not hit like that against Foreman.

 

They would never come into play. He would be out like almost everybody

 

Apart from Holmes, Frazier, Foreman, Ali and probably Liston would climb off the canvas after that punch.

 

Fair enough, I can't argue with that. I think his last performance is still fresh in my mind, which adds hype to my decision.

 

The shot Shavers landed was far harder than any one punch that Foreman landed on Joe! Ali hurt Joe in their second fight. Plus coming forward against a puncher like Shavers would be foolish unless you could hit as hard as him and yes I know Frazier would land more shots but I don`t know about Shavers chin. Bowe also got hit too much but his size might help him absorb the shot better than Joe would of, Wlad possibly could but Bowe would stand the best chance he had a better chin than Wlad.

 

For that matter, Ali wasn't hit like that either. The shot that Shavers decked Holmes with would have dropped Ali too...he would have recovered quickly though.

 

Ali would have a better chance than Frazier because he fought Shavers and took a vicious shot off him, by this time Ali was a lot heavier than in his 60`s prime, I don`t think the slimmer Ali that was decked by Cooper would have survived the shot but was so fast that it`s unlikely he would be caught anyway! Catch 22. Frazier was stopped by Foreman Ali wasn`t, one of the reasons is that he kept coming forwards walking into loads of Foreman`s shots while Ali was wrapped up and prepared for the shots.
