The shot Pacman wanted, would it have numbed pain generally - better punch resistance

    I don't really know how these shots work. Can it be designed to make one just take more pain in general and give them a 'superman' mentality?


    Explain please.

    Like he couldn't handle Mayweather's power. Mayweather gets that same shot for his hands. NSAID non steroidal anti inflammatory drug, that's all.

    This is basically what I was getting at, and it's one of the first hunches that came to me during the aftermath.

    I get the impression that what Pacquiao didn't get is a shot that he is used to being granted before a fight. That's just speculation, but the way in which the shot was talked about gave me the impression that Pacman expected to receive the shot "as per usual".

    I don't know.
