i saw a short on You Tube of the Hearns-Medal fight and it struck me , the similarities between these two fights!

In both cases, the challenger was Puerto Rican
In both cases the challenger was looking for his second world crown
In both cases, the challenger was a world champion
In both cases, all boxers were hard hitting powerhouses
In both cases, WBC titles were at stake
In both cases, the fight was at the Caesar's Palace hotel in Las Vegas
In both cases, the champions ended up in the international boxing hall of fame
In both cases, the champion was involved, directly or indirectly in tragic vehicular crashes. Sanchez died in 1982, while Hearns' rival James Shuler, died 11 days after their 1986 fight
In both cases, the challenger went down in round one but got up and put up an excellent, courageous show trying to turn the fight around
In both cases, the challenger suffered hideous eye injuries and had their eyes closed towards the end
In both cases, the fight ended in round eight by technical knockout

Are these the two most similar boxing fights in the history of the sport????
