The Sky commentators were awful.

Man the commentary was brutal. Even in the earlier rounds when it was fairly competitive, they made it seem like Marquez was getting slaughtered.

 

I praised Marquez for his bravery too and mentioned it numerous times during the fight. Marquez is one brave ****er for moving up in weight and taking on Mayweather and despite being dropped and stunned he was STILL punching back and backing Mayweather off, there's NO QUIT in that man whether he won a round or not. He was taking shots Ricky Hatton dropped cold from and he was moving up TWO weights above. Hatton and his fans were crying about him moving up to Welter even though he did so before successfully.

 

What's wrong with praising Mayweather?, if they didn't praise him then boxing is dead and if they do they're dick suckers. :nut

 

I like them. Who was the announcer in the Sky Sports for the Pac vs Hatton fight? Not the same crew this time around... was the main guy different? I liked him for the Pac vs Hatton fight.

 

You think you have it bad you obvious havent listened to the RTE commentators...they are so bad it is funny especially Dave "Boy" McCauley

 

It was a little overboard though Scar, trust me. I had to mute my television set after the third round. It got to the point where they weren't only praising Floyd, which is perfectly fine, but they disregarded anything Marquez landed. The third round, for example, I actually gave Marquez. It was maybe the only round he got in the whole fight, but he worked hard to land good shots in that round. Give the man credit.

 

There's nothing wrong with praising Mayweather but the way the sky crew do it is uncomfortable to listen to, its cringeworthy. Damn i was surprised they were hugging floyd as watt usually sucks the life out of the underdog.

Basically, they were acting like Mayweather was fighting a prime Mike Tyson, and giving him a boxing lesson. Quite extraordinary levels of ass kissing of FMJ, for once.

I prefer the US commentary on most occasions, the Brit's are too descriptive/emtional, the Americans tend to be more technical/tactical.

 

Starting a post off with, "you people are a bunch of dickheads", is never a wise move.

 

but its the truth especially when it comes to you. wat fight were you watching ? the commentating was excellent from sky as it allways is im completly shocked at the amount of disrespect you are showing them its sickening :-(

Were they as terrible as the commentators during Hatton/Tsyzu?

 

I would say they might be doing this in hope of seeing Mayweather/Pac and I'm sure they will be supporting Mayweather in that one.

As stated, I didn't get those commentators so I can't make a discussion here but Addie made things clear so it's all good and I trust his judgment.
