Mr Bean AKA Adam Smith is not happy and rightly so...
Hearn is acting like a bloke who has another better looking bird just waiting for him to dump his wife

    The future is streaming.

Hearn is basically using sky to promote his other platform and then is going to dump them, or so it seems.

    Looks like that...hence my analogy

It might be too late because you can name the SKY cards that have been good and well matched on Postman Pats fingers ...

Same for BT and most boxing shows worldwide these days.

How many 50/50 ish main events do we get worldwide never mind with multiple on one card.

I was a huge fan of Boxnation UK shows and the Yank stuff...The Matchroom guff has been mostly 1/100 bums v the house fighter for years...I remember when i was just happy to watch boxing on telly but its jot worse and worse ...that Cheeseman show was almost no point and the RAW BEEF at the end was cringefest...

Even the PPVs are dreadful on SKY and Hearn seems delighted when he flukes a decent fight

The same applies to Warren shows.

That Leicester show is dreadful as is the Albert hall. If Eddie Hearn put them on as next gen shows he would get lynched. You can’t even get odds on them because they’re so bad.

Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren are no better than each other. Both are putting on absolute dross, Eddie Hearn just puts on the slightly better shows.

Streaming boxing is the future, but DAZN or whatever ain’t going to make a dent for at least 10 years in reality.

Not in the UK no, maybe not even DAZN, it might be Amazon or another provider. If one of them streaming companies get the football and then decent boxing content it’s game over for Sky and BT.

The sky product is diminishing- specifically to boxing we are now subject to watching poorer match up; horrendous, biased commentary; sub-standard analysis, and generally getting rogered up every orifice through PPV's.

Moreover, Sky numbers are falling year on year and with Netflix due to overtake them as the number 1 subscription service this year, its no surprise that Hearn is slowly manouvereing himself away and towards streaming.

Really it's a shame Hearn wasn't involved with something similar to boxnation (which was probably commissioned a few years too early) as the concept is good and the demand is there in the UK now.

Another issue is Sky can’t buy in much boxing from elsewhere given the PBC shows are on ITV and the Top Rank cards are on Boxnation/BT.

The Saturday Fight Night cards have been dross for years now- I’d rather have ten decent cards on regular Sky Sports a year than the twenty we have now. Hearn has way too many fighters in my opinion even with the US operation.

To be fair I haven’t seen one person say it’s not financially viable on here?

It's a farce that Hearn is putting Callum Smith and Kell Brook on DAZN cards instead of Sky. Both the Copper box and Liverpool shows are missing those big stars, having them fight on an undercard in the states instead is mind boggling
