It is true though that Slavs have dominated this division for almost a decade and likely not a coincidence that during boxing's so called golden era when American legends reigned supreme, Slavs where unable to compete with them by default. If they had, you'd likely see at least one or two Slav legends being recorded in the annals of boxing's history. Take boxing legend Stan Ketchel, who although was born on US soil, was 100% Slav. Boxing was always present and beloved by many Slav countries and it is only starting to show now on a pro level.

Carl Thompson is a regional circuit fighter who knocked out your boy like he was a nobody from a nearby hamlet. Dawson is a world class fighter and Adamek made him french the canvas and never looked back while conquering CW, making Davey run to HW. Mate, Carl Thompson was a world title holder. It's a bit disrespectful to a good, hard working fighter like Carl, who held a world title at Cruiserweight, to call him a regional circuit fighter.
