This is a thread to appreciate the slick boxers out there and help define what a slick boxer is and grant the titles to current and up and coming boxers :rasta slick adjective 1. smooth and glossy; sleek. 2. smooth in manners, speech, etc.; suave. 3. ingenious; cleverly devised: a slick plan to get out of work. 4. slippery, especially from being covered with or as if with ice, water, or oil. So using this definition, a slick boxer is a "slippery" (hard to hit) smooth and clever style. Usually accompanied by a boxer style using a lot of head movement and/or footwork with a high ring IQ. And No you do not have to beat black to be slick The grand master of the style belongs to Mr. Sweet Pea [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G5v_PNsl4Q[/ame] Other current boxer who in their prime were/are considered slick (Nominate whoever you want) Bernard Hopkins Andre Dirrell Zab Judah Toshiaki Nishioka Corey Spinks Ivan Calderon Chris Byrd Anselmo Moreno Sergio Martinez Younger Winky Wright Donaire Younger Juan Manuel Marquez Younger Erik Morales Roy Jones Guillermo Rigondeaux Chad Dawson Joan Guzman James Toney [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h227sP9Gc-I&feature=related[/ame] and of course Floyd Mayweather Jr. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK9en6g9JTQ[/ame] Let me know your opinion and if I should change anything

If you want to go really old school, you'd have to give Nicolino Locche and Willie Pep a mention, those guys where as slick as they come.
Hey thanks for posting that Marciano clip Fanatic, I admit i've never really gave props to Rocky for his defensive skills. I guess I really need to re-evaluate him.
In my opinion Roy Jones has no defense. If being slick refers to having good defensive skills, he doesn't belong to the list.
