At least Quintana beat the 2/3 guy on these lists once, thoroughly outclassing him on the night.

 

Williams beat the man with more of a claim? Cotto would not fight williams after Williams beat Margarito. And MArgarito did not want to rematch Paul when Cintron pulled out. Williams has a big say in who is the best welter.atsch

 

The best? He just lost a year ago and has not avenged his lost. That does not make him the best. Williams avenged his lost. Margarito has not. Margarito has to beat Williams to lay claim at being the best at 147. :yep

 

The better fighter won period. Margarito beat Cintron twice. and the second time was because Cintron did not want to reschedule with Williams. Margarito did not want to step in against Williams and chose cintron instead. A fighter he already beat. He had no problem facing cintron who he beat,but cant get back in there with williams who he lost to. Margarito is not the best. He needs to beat williams. Becaus eright now,the man you claim to be the best has a recent loss to a fighter he does not want to face again. You dont lose a fight and the a year later declare yourself the best with out beatiung that fighter who beat you who still happens to be in the top 5 and still has YOUR BELT. Not the best.:deal

i agree with this...williams loss to quintana but look he got his revenge and in such fashion as a 1st rd knockout so that pretty much erases the loss, did margo got his revenge? nah, he should be calling out williams instead of oscar. Williams is available, i don't see a reason why can't they make the fight. Williams is still undefeated to me at this point

The biggest place I seem to be disagreeing with people is where Mosley should be placed. I think this is probably because instead of fighting someone big in the elterweight division he is going for definite money option of fighting Mayorga(which i personally think is a poor business decision because mayorga's name value has decreased exponentially for the past two years atleast)

Having said that, Mosley went life and death with Cotto and I think he should atleast be rated above a Clottey who didn't show anything in his fight with Judah to suggest that he could handle mosley's EXPERIENCE which at this point is his biggest asset now that his physical prime has passed him.
