well all your points were not faked, instead merely failed.

ok. np mate, triple fail, no hard feelings. u sound like a decent guy, but you were the one raising the failed issues with me, not the other way round, so the onus of being argumentative is yours - after its YOU initating the argument. To pretend its me is fake or fail on your part.

You were trying to provoke argument with the other guy when there was none to be had.

Most fighters are shot in their 40s. You used '40 something' in a bid to denigrate Calzaghe, despite being well aware Hopkins in his 40s was still an elite fighter.

Everyone agrees Calzaghe won the fight.

    quick lesson for you -

my argument with the OP was to CORRECT them about the fight being a SD, not an outright win as he had earlier surmised...therefore I was right he was wrong.

your argument that YOU raised with me consisted of 3 failed points. I was right you were triple wrong.

why you got a problem with getting this mate? u seem a nice guy don't spoil it.

I use 40something accurately to describe Hopkins, not inaccurately like you do! get a grip man.

ah this is your problem. I see. well no Hopkins wasn't elite in his 40s. He was continually beaten by non elites in that time. Dawson was not elite. taylor was no elite. theres another one to add to that list too.

why do you need to keep writing this? there appear to be people who think Hopkins won. are you blind to their existence? u appear to be trying a fail on me again, but for no actual reason...kinda double fail, mate.

come on mate be nice and stop trying to raise fail arguments with me.

A very good Hopkins, while not Calzaghe's best performance, was a good win. You keep trying to portray it as something else all you want.

ah so you have problems with people who disagree with you, ok.

    np mate.

Hopkins was still world class of course, as depicted by him outboxing joe early, but just didn't have the lungs to keep winning that night anymore asginast someone with an elite full tank of gas.

now if it helps, I agree with you.

Perhaps because Hopkins age only ever seems to be a problem when people are talking about his fight with Calzaghe, it only ever seems to be brought up to disparage Calzaghe's victory. Dont see people doing the same to disparage Dawson or Kovalev's victories over Hopkins.

Wait...so you think Calzaghe edged it by a point or two, yet you believe a SD reflects the win best.:think

For a true reflection of your score.... shouldn't all three of the judges have had it either 115-112 or 116-111.

And none of them have it 114-113 for Bernard.:p

yes arguably a point depending how you score for fights.

surely u can understand there is a difference between scoring for telling blows and scoring by weak inaccurate volume.

that's because dawson and ko4clev fans (nor the boxer themselves) don't try and sell their wins as great victories.

and u should know this, you are a smart poster.

to be fair that doesn't stop some disparaging kovalevs win...but that's light years from what I have claimed - I've said its a good win for joe, so there is ZERO basis for claiming I am disparaging him.

Rather the impetus is on the boxer who chooses to face 40smethings back to back and call those wins great - he disparages himself.

You're delusional if you think Hans isn't still on this site. I saw him post here as recently as yesterday.

Great post. I like Calzaghe, hate his stans. Very good boxer, not great as people proclaim him to be though. He's a lovely fighter to watch, and a great guy. I bumped into him a few years ago in New York, very pleasant character but seems a little troubled like there's a hidden darkness in him.
