I did. I'm just disappointed every time you do. It's like when that girl you used to see for a bit says that's it, she's not going to come round and see you any more and then the following Friday rings you at 2am asking if she can see you. It's a little sad TBH.

Anyway... Whether you do or don't, I don't mind. That's on you hombre, it's just never good to see someone break their word so easily. It shows a lack of character IMHO.

Glad this link was just bumped... great read. Can't really add much to this other than the slapping accusations some people make, fail to take into account how fragile his hands became part way through his career, and I think he developed this 'slapping' style to protect them. But early in his career he hit hard. Chris Eubank said Joe was the hardest puncher he'd shared a ring with and he boxed Nigel Benn and, later, fought at cruiserweight. Eubank had an iron chin, if he says someone hit hard... they hit hard.

You're right, Joe is under appreciated. Yes he could have traveled a bit more and some of his opponents were substandard. But we could throw these accusations at a lot of elite fighters.

I like calzaghe. Probably one of the slickest white man to ever grace the sport. Great footwork and hand speed, he has upper body movement and rhythm. Can slip and take punches. Incredible heart and stamina.
Also can adjust on the fly when things get tight.

 

Great piece CST. Maybe you can add more stuff like this to this board and for other types of fighters. You're gifted.
