I like both fighters but will be rooting for mikey because he's the underdog but i just can't see him beating Spence. Spence tko
Spence by stoppage somewhere around the 10th. Wont be surprised if Mikey quits or Robert throws in the towel.
Spence beating up on another zero threat leprechaun. Man Down? Yeah it's another man down from the lower divisions for you to feast on. When are you going to man up and fight someone your own size you big bully? Crawford didn't have a problem stepping up to the plate to fight the much bigger David Benavidez, but look at Spence's response when someone suggests that maybe one day he and Benavidez could get it on with each other. If Mikey wins this I'd not be surprised if he challenged Canelo next. The rematch clause will spoil any hopes for Mikey vs Usyk in 2020 though.
After Spence embarrasses Mikey it would devastate team garcia, especially all the arrogance coming from them leading up to the fight. This gonna suck for team garcia, because jose ramirez is next on the list to take a loss and look forward to all the memes after this fight.
UD for Spence with 116:112 or 115:113 for him.Maybe even SD.That prediction is only if the fight will be just a theater like Fury - Wilder. If not - KO for Spence in 7,8 round.
I'm picking Garcia because history shows that a good small man usually beats a good big man. I put that down to speed. Just look at the history of the heavyweight championship and you'll see that when the title changes hands, it's usually when a smaller guy comes along to dethrone the bigger champ. Not to mention Henry Armstrong, Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Ray Robinson, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, just to name a few off the top of my head.
Good boy'd damaged goods weight-drained Brook is much naturally bigger than Mikey and hits harder than him but Mikey is levels above him in terms of skill, ability and pedigree and he's going to be able to land classy counters on Spence and punish him for his mistakes and his porous defence in a way that Brook never could, not to say Brook isn't a skilful operator because he is but Mikey is unquestionably the classiest and most skilled fighter Spence will ever have fought and Mikey does hit unusually hard for his size and I think Spence is going to be surprised at the weight of those educated counters coming back at him from the smaller man. Problem for Mikey is I just can't envisage him being able to stand up to Spence's power and especially if Spence is able to start landing with any consistency. Mikey's chin has only been put to the test x 4 above 130 and to be perfectly frank it's not even that many times because Zlaticanin barely landed anything at all on him and I only recall seeing him land one power punch to the head during the entire fight. Easter is a decent puncher at 135 but certainly no KO artist and the difference between 135 and 147 is huge at 12lbs. Broner's got decent power at 140 but the KOs and stoppages dried up real quick as soon as he moved up to 140-147 and there weren't leprechauns and garden gnomes who he was much naturally bigger than standing in the opposite corner to him and he went into his shell for much of that fight after tasting Mikey's power and IIRC and didn't start letting his hands go more freely till later in the fight. So that just leaves Lipinets who is a pretty good puncher at 140 and teak tough, and to be fair to Mikey he did get clipped with a few big power punches to the head in that one and took them well. But Lipinets is the kind of puncher who needs to start landing with consistency to get you out of there and Mikey never really allowed him to do that. If Mikey's chin had been put to the test by a savage power punching wrecking machine at 140 like a Lucas for instance I'd feel more confident about him being able to withstand Spence's power but it hasn't.
On the outside I feel Mikey can box him, drop his output and show that he definitely has the superior defense. Snac and the fact that he has actually trained his body for the first time should help give a boost to his power. However, once Spence makes it a phonebooth and starts unloading I can't see how Mikey is going to deal with that, as I feel he is not the clinching type. There's also a big question mark over whether he can take the kind of firepower Spence brings. This is one of those fights I'm picking Mikey against all logical reasoning.
Either Spence can take Garcia's power and will walk him down and stop him late OR Spence can't take Mikey's power and might even become weary of coming inside on Garcia, in which case Spence might get stopped late or drop a decision. My money is on Garcia. I've heard Spence in interviews and he seems like a good dude but he is really overrated as a fighter. I don't see the boxing acumen in him that Garcia possesses. However, Spence is the naturally bigger guy and it's possible Garcia's punches have no effect on him in which case he'll simply wear Garcia down. He won't really need to show much in terms of boxing skill.
My prediction is Spence to win via UD. I think many of the rounds are very close and Spence just edges it on all 3 cards. Some people will call it a robbery though.
