Sparring partners in several separate articles talking about how they were sent home almost a month before the match because of the injury.

His management team consulted an insurance company to see if it was feasible to postpone the match.

It's all really just a conspiracy. Pac wasn't injured. Was he?

I feel bad for Wilder, and I was rooting for Povetkin in this. I am not a Wilder fan, but if I am putting myself into Team Wilder's shoes they must feel gutted and betrayed. They worked their a** off in camp, prepared, were ready to travel to Moscow. And now have to go home empty handed. Pretty terrible and Povetkin's team and/or WBC/VADA handling for this specific drug seems to be the problem.

Definitely not Wilder's fault and I feel bad for him. Sucks for him, but that's boxing and he's young enough to handle this period of inactivity/lack of payday -- better than Povetkin whos much older and whose future seems quite uncertain right now.
