The ways boxing will rise up again are: removing all the WBABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVIBF belts; making boxers actually face each other, ducking should be somehow banned; For example there could be made a ranking system with divisions where boxers must face each other. That is why mostly people don't watch it, cause there is a thrilling fight once in two or three years that is globally promoted. The last one was Joshua - Klitschko, the previous one was probably Pac - Mayweather. The next one will be Joshua - Wilder but I feel like it will take forever for those two to face each other, because of the money issue.

You may find with less belts potentially less marketability and in turn less money for each fighter. Less orgs less money and less promotion.

Speculation but just saying. I don't think it will necessarily fix boxing in the current climate of society today and in the future.

I don't particularly think it needs to be fixed because it's simply a niche sport anyway.

Fights like Joshua vs Klitschko will ''fix'' boxing you could say to get more mainstream attention.

We're talking US here of course, as these low viewernumbers happen over there.

But I don't know what will be better in the long run over there actually. It might very well be that the blatant corruption and bullshirt almost completely destroys the US market for a couple of years, effectively getting some sort of reboot lead by the big European and Asian markets after. A shift of control is already happening at the moment, and that might turn a lot of things around.

Just get the corruption out of boxing, it's that simple! Send the corrupt promoters to prison next time they cheat, no more bribes, no more fights like SOB hitting Kovalev in the testicles over and over with corrupt referee, get rid of some of the corrupt judges, starting with Byrd and Patricia Jarman!

You can start by calling 702-486-2575 and complaining, it's the Nevada Boxing Commission number! Don't be afraid, call them! If enough call it will make some difference!

A few years back thanks to Miss Rosuey and Mr Mcgregor, all I ever saw on FB and heard about in pubs was UFC.

I genuinely thought boxing was going to start dying off as most MMA fans started getting very dismissive of the sweet-science.

If you're going to claim parts are inaccurate, them list them and respond.

Sadly, your attitude is far too common amongst fans within the sport, and is a large contributing factor as to why the sport struggles to attract more mainstream sports fans.

The sport only generates media attention during 'Mega fights' and on fight week....Meaning that it's representation in the media, compared to other sports is miniscule.
(In the UK, where apparently 'Boxing is huge over there', Darts has a wider spread of media coverage and fan attendance over a 12 month period than Boxing).

    The sport needs change....
The rate of growth, compared to other sports, is alarming....
The best way for the sport to grow is to attract other fans....

Fans promoting womens boxing as an inferior product, is a perfect example of this sport's inability to evolve from the stereotype of the 'middle aged mans' sport.

Logic tells a businessman, that only targeting consumers aged 50+, compared to 18+, is foolish.

Corruption will follow money, there is no doubt about that. But as witnessed by the most watched sport league in the world (Premier League), corruption becomes extremely difficult when the demands of fans, outweigh the demands of individuals within the sport.

Take Holyfield v Lewis....Or to a lesser extent GGG v Canelo.

These were perfect fights to use the term 'Miscarriage of justice'.
Fights were judges decisions were disagreed with by over 90% of the sports fans.
    Why wasn't anything done?
Why were the judges not dismissed?

The answer is a relatively short one, the sport is not big enough.

The voice of the fan isn't comparable to that of individuals within the sport.....

Until that changes, the sport may not 'die', but the 'sport' element of boxing, will continue to play second fiddle to the corrupt side.

Boxing has a strong lgbt community

Ffs half the female game is lesbian
Then there is you, yusuf mack, Orlando Cruz and CST80

Then we have Kellie Maloney who transitioned and
    Oscar Delahoya in pretransition.

So yeah boxing has a huge LGBT presence and is probably more accepting to LGBT than most sports

    Yes I completely agree....

Let's petition the governing and sanctioning bodies to start a Gay only belt.

"Half the female game is lesbian"....Based on what?

What a completely moronic, never mind homophobic, argument.

    You're completely missing the point.

    It's about 'Equality'.

It's no longer acceptable to insult a boxer because of the colour of the skin....So it shouldn't be acceptable to insult a boxer because of their sexuality/gender.

It's just common decency more than anything else.

If you are so sure this is the answer, please explain the frankly dismal interest in female boxing. You're probably not old enough to remember Jane Couch, she was being pushed as the next big thing for a while back in the nineties. Women's boxing isn't new, and it hasn't caught on for a reason.

The general public don't like seeing women hit each other over a ring. It's just a natural, base level reaction that applied to normal, well-adjusted people.

I'm deliberately missing the point. I know exactly what you're trying to say I'm just not taking it seriously.
