    This fight will never happen. They were NEVER in position to fight each other. Let's compare the timeline of these 2 fighters:

    2012
    GGG / Proksa (9/01) - Ward / Dawson (9/08]

    2013
    GGG / Rosado - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Ishida - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Macklin - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Stevens (11/02) - Ward / Rodriguez (11/16)

    2014
    GGG / Adama - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Gaele - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Rubio - Ward Inactive

    2015
    GGG / Murray - Ward Inactive
    GGG / Monroe (5/16) - Ward / Smith (6/20) at 172 catchweight
    GGG / Lemiuex - Ward Inactive, but decides to make a ridiculous offer after the Lemiuex fight was made.

    The closest they were able to fight each other was in 2013, when GGG was trying to make a name for himself. In 2015, Ward comes back against Smith at Light Heavyweight, 2 divisions above Middleweight.

    Ward's next fight will most likely be at Light Heavyweight since he has made no effort to get in the ring with any of the Super Middleweight titleholders.

    To make things harder, Ward was been offered to fight on the undercard of Cotto/Canelo, but his ego is too fragile, so he is going to be inactive for the rest of the year and wonder why he's the B-Side.

    I don't think that they will ever fight and that's ok with me. GGG is doing what he needs to do in order to get paid and Ward should know better than to beat a dead horse. Ward is moving up to make his bones at 175 and I truly believe that he will be a dominate force there. GGG will do his thang at 160 and maybe knock a 168 buster out from time to time. I think that he will make lots of cash and be a hero to millions. He is working with a small window because of his age so he has to be wise in his choices.

    Agree with this thread, hopefully the part time boxer will stop trying to use GGG's name to give himself more undeserved publicity

    And Ward chose to fight a Groves, Degale and Abraham leftover on BET instead of actually fighting a decent HBO approved opponent on HBO.

    Look at September, 2012.

    How on earth did GGG become a PPV headliner before Andre from those starting points?!

    Putting him on BET aka Black Entertainment Television was done to get some exposure to the African American viewers. Being an African American Olympic Gold Medalist he should have twice as many fans than he actually has. The best thing for Ward right now is just fight and everything will fall in order in no time.

    Your boy has to ride the coattails of the Kazakh Alfred E Neuman lookalike who would've been an undercard fighter on Andre's cards 3 years ago. :lol: :rofl
