Who is Ward? I thought he was retired. Whatever, Ward can't draw flies, Golovkin wants to unify the titles, he sold out MSG..................why should Golovkin fight Ward in Ward's home town, with Ward's personal referee, judges and boxing commission, plus give Ward all the money? Ward is nothing..................Duva is trying to get Ward to fight Kovalev, but Ward refuses, Ward refused to fght Stevenson at 175 or even at 168 after being called out live on HBO......................Golovkin is the PPV star, not SOB Ward............Ward is a "Legend in his own mind." and that's it.................

 

Golovkin can count his lucky stars the Ward fight never happened.

 

Ward's got much more spare time; maybe GGG will be generous and hire him on part time to count his lucky stars for him while GGG keeps fighting.

Ward was never semi-retired, and he is fighting on the Canelo- Cotto undercard. And why fight him you ask, Because he is Ring Magazines #1 P4P fighter, and ESPN's 2nd or 3rd ranked P4P. If your'e in a division that even your own trainer says there is no one that can challenge or even go the distance with you, and your goal is to be the best, why stay there, why not fight the 1 guy close to your weight that is above you in the P4P standings?!? And why offer to go up to 168 to fight 2 other fighters, but not this 1?!?

You're gonna say for the money. GGG hasn't proven himself enough to chase the money yet, then he'd be doing exactly what every one accused Mayweather of doing. At least Mayweather proved himself by beating the best in 3 other weight divisions before he chased the money.

 

After Ward has dealt with Kovalev, I hope GGG mans up.

 

By the time Ward deals with Kovalev, GGG's son will be old enough to avenge him.
