2 minutes is as far as I could go. I'm no emotional guy, but almost felt a little water in my eyes. Damn, go lose him at the park. Thanks-will watch it -when I get the strength to separate my emotions.
Saad's childhood seems similar to that of the Pederson Brothers, I had so much hope for both, but am happy to know one of them did go on to win some belts and bring some money in- think they walked the streets as kids until they met their trainer/father.
Such a sad life, there really is a film to be made on him. The way he cherished his own house really let's see how much little things meant to him. Saad is possibly the most entertaining fighter ever too.
He has to be on the Mt. Rushmore of boxing's most exciting fighters. I'd put him on there with Arturo Gatti, Bobby Chacon. I'm not sure who get's the fourth spot.
Watch Matthew many time in the late 70s, early 80s. Possibly the most exciting fighter ever, as seemingly every fight was a knockdown dragout. He was fairly worn out by the time Braxton got to him. He was just a tad better than Yaqui Lopez to both of those fights. Shame he didn't get a chance to unify the titles with Galindez, as I think he would beat the hell outta Galindez.
That was really good, I didn't know much about MSM besides his sickening left lead uppercut he hit that one guy with and his loses to dwight. What a warrior he was though, tough as nails.
Carmen Basilio, Salido, Vazquez, Carbajal, Holyfield, Bert Cooper, Tyson, Ali, Gaspar Ortega, Little Red Lopez, Pacquiao?
I've only seen Edwards against Chacon and Limon. Can't speak to beyond that. My next pick would be Boom Boom Mancini.
Hmm. Now I've only seen Mancini vs Argüello, Chacón and Kim so I can't comment there myself, but Boza was in some amazing fights. Chacón 1&2, Argüello, Limón, Elizondo, Lockridge. I haven't seen them yet but I can imagine what the Rolando fights ended up looking like.
