Oh no not the old "look at his face" excuse.

Guys like Gatti would have lost half of there fights if judges thought like you.

The point of this thread is that Oscar's face should not have been busted up by Steve Forbes.

We know he already he should not have been hit a single time and he should have KO'd Steve with the first power punch landed.

    Oscar's a farce....

It wasn't. Theres a scratch on his nose and a tiny bit of swelling under one eye.

Forbes is still a pro boxer, and 36 minutes with a pro boxer with no headgear is going to leave some minor signs of a fight 90% of the time or more.

I will just agree to disagree with you guys on this. I am very irritated with how the HBO crew tried to sell us on the fact that Oscar looked great, when he didnt. That at 35, this is a new Oscar. Give me a break.

    Oscar did what he's best at....beating blown-up LW's.

But compare his face after this fight with the images following Mosley I and II, Hopkins, Mayweather, Vargas, and Trinidad - it wasn't this bad. Forbes was hitting him too much for my liking. Now put Mayweather into the mix; sharper, quicker, more accurate, more powerful, and better timing than Forbes.

Well, he was marked up some by Vargas. Hops got him out of there before facial damage could be done. He ran from Trinidad. Floyd's gloves are marshmallows.

Mosley I and II are interesting, but he was younger then and his tissue probably held up better.

I didn't need to see Oscar's face marked up to know that he only "beats" Floyd if a fix is in to cash out another $25 mil apiece. You know, so adoring fans everywhere can see a trilogy for the ages.

Well as completely true as that is, it has nothing to do with Oscars face, which was fine.

What a bull**** fight. It was the same as RJJ-Tito, DLH fought a waaaay smaller guy and even lost some rounds in the process.

There was no drama AT ALL.

It's boxing, did you expect him to have a facial and a wax?

12 rounds of boxing against an ex world champion, if my face was only as bad as his, I'd be happy.
