Since Ibragimov is still Wlad the ATG's best ever win despite Sultan putting up a defensive master class performance I think it's fair that we pay this fine champion his dues. The making of the man. Here we see Ibragimov catapult himself into the elite of the heavyweight rankings with his stunning KO over the dangerous giant Whitaker. Crushing Whitaker in style by bouncing him around the ring from start to finish. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuWQstTxxKQ"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuWQstTxxKQ[/ame] "This man is serious" Ibragimov crushes Mora inside the first round. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57GcuAQdcCc"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57GcuAQdcCc[/ame] Seizing the day. Ibragimov shows his slickness once again and destroys Briggs to win the World title. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpckZDFfVRI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpckZDFfVRI[/ame] His easy defeat of Evander Holyfield where Sultan boxed his ears off, proved himself the ultimate slickster of the division showing stunning footwork and head movement. Some say Sultan became an ATG after beating another ATG with such ease. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOxa_kAtnQ8"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOxa_kAtnQ8[/ame]
I haven't watched the full Quitacker fight, just watched it now. Ibragimov went right at him at the opening bell, it's a pity he wasn't matched better or we could have had some great fights from him. It's also a shame he didn't fight on after the Klitschko fight. He would have done a number of Valuev and fights with Chagaev, Povetkin, Haye, Adamek and such would have been great to see [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijGZYGC2GAc[/ame]
he truly was a very good fighter its shame he showed up out of shape vs austin because early on he was killing him then he ran out of steam he was fun to watch bar the Klitschko fight he was fast and a mover with combos and could be explosive and dangerous he had a nice little run at the end...i wonder why he retired, i guess its cause he knew Wlad was unifying and that he couldnt beat him and didnt wanna be under the shadow
He was a good belt holder, moved well, had power in both hands, a good chin, threw great combinations, tough to hit, took good fights... no one is calling him THE champ but he was a solid fighter
a 46 year holyfield? who larry donald had beaten a fews earlier? holyfield who had 8 losses coming in...yes, that version of holyfield was a JOKE and briggs has always been a joke...find me 1 top 10 guy he ever beat? oh besides his last second win against the fat wolfe and his "win: on a 48 year old george foreman..... you wont find any top 10 wins in his other 50 fights..:rofl yeah, lets appreciate the epic 22 fight win journey of barney ****in rubble!
Ibragimov was good. Its sad he retired. He would have beat the **** out of today's top HW's (Except Wlad of course).
he bored the world to death in 3 of his biggest fights briggs holyfield wlad went life and death with ray austin.....
I appreciate him....compared to Timur. Nah, in all seriousness he wasn't that to watch except against WK (which was basically the HW version of Donaire-Narvaez, where the comparatively tiny guy just says "**** all y'all, I'm getting pizz-aid! :devil )
