:dealThat's what fans want. Thank you! If anything he blew his chance in trying to come back and change the outcome within his own hands. I felt the momentum moving towards AA but he fouled and that costed him the match. People act like Dirrell knew AA would hit him while he was down.
1.) Alot of fighters have found things to complain about in this tournament so far. Dirrell moaned about Frochs tactics and the decision, Kessler moaned about headbutts and a ref allowing it, Abraham moaned about low blows (and in fairness one did look low, though I dont think intentionally, and had no bearing on the fight or result) and about Dirrell after the DQ loss. 3.) I dont think the DQ was a bad call, but looking at it again I dont think it was intentional, like I did when I watched it live
Fight 1) Abraham won by KO, that's all you need to know in this one. Fight 2) Dirrell was robbed, anyone that doesn't see this is either a serious ******* or British. Froch was allowed to body slam and do pretty much anything he wanted in typical WWE style over there, a style Hatton made a career applying without any warnings. Actually it was Dirrell who was being warned when he got bodyslammed. There's a reason Froch was nearly begging for almost all his fights to take place in England after yet another typical circus display. Fight 3) Ward was fighting his way, though reckless at times which caused the headbutts but no one can deny that some of those headbutts were clearly intentional, at least I won't deny it. Like some were intentional some weren't and Kessler was getting beat on and losing even before these headbutts happen and it didn't look good at all for him. I don't think I scored a single round for Kessler, does that mean in every single minute of every round Kessler was getting headbutted like Froch was able to wrestle freely and Hatton(against Tszyu)?, hell no and not even close. If anything a headbutt would hurt Ward as much as it would hurt Kessler. Fight 4) I agree with the DQ. Dirrell was easily winning in my book and Abraham was cut and clearly frustrated, even though the cut was from a headbutt but they worked on it perfectly well and closed it completely. This fight is confusing to me, honestly. I mean it looked like Dirrell MIGHT have been slightly tired late and Abraham was slowly getting to him and it also looked like Dirrell was going to survive those last two rounds and get the decision he earned. I really don't know especially when everyone knows Abraham carries one punch KO power all the way to the last second of the 12th if needed and proved it. Either way the DQ was spot on and I can't disagree with it, I don't think Dirrell was acting either he was out COLD from a single punch that landed cleanly and intentionally, why the hell would Dirrell act when only one round and a half is left for him to get the decision?, he might have been getting tired but was doing his best to survive, not very sure.
They don't need to be from Britain for it to be a gift decision you fat idiot, they are in their country surrounded by people shoving beer bottles up their asses in the crowd, that's enough to make them British for a few hours. If they were British they would jump in the ring and body slam Dirrell with Froch and give an extra point for Froch after doing so. And after they give him the gift decision they would all be celebrating, Austin 3:16 style, in the ring knocking beer bottles and people like you will be cheering with your large belly hanging out on one side without notice.
Fight 2) The Ring mag had Froch a close winner over Dirrell as did Boxing News, it was a close fight, and Dirrell didnt grab the opportunity to win a world title in his first attempt. Froch may have used some bad tactics but so did Dirrell who was holding alot. When that happens fighters do get wrestled off and id say they were quite even for doing that. Froch dosent beg for his fights to be at home that much when you consider, he made his first defence away, and is making his next defence (3rd) away again. But why shouldnt Dirrell have to face the champ in his own country? Its often the way, that the challenger, travels to the champ isnt it. Guys like Froch and Kessler should get some credit for having been willing to defend their titles away.
will just chime in on Dirrell vs Froch let the record state i picked Dirrell and obviously live in the U.S. but i thought for a guy that was challenging, he simply didnt do enough to win....it was a sloppy ass fight and i saw it more as him being chased around the ring...every round i was waiting for Dirrell to open up and fire...to do something...he could have kod froch if he would have let his gloves go.....i looked at him for what he was, "the challenger" and he didnt do much to take that belt....very dissapointed in him that night
Watch the end in realtime... he pretty much immediately fell down after getting clocked... it's because of the way his body was on the floor, he couldn't fall to his right since his leg was stretched out that way... it only looks shaky in super slow-mo.. in realtime it's obvious what happened.. he didn't have time to say ****, motion to the ref, or anything in real-time. He got hit, raised his glove while blinking because he was out of it as he fell over.
Have watched it in real time, but will look again for what you say. Dont think AAs punch was intentional when watching again in real time, just following through with a punch
i want clear cut winners so im dissaponted , no hometown fites that stupid and this all could have been avoided, only thing that 2 me went bad is abrahams dumb ass hittin dirrell when he was down, i really believe if that never happened abraham could have landed a big one and ended it
The whole tournament has been messed up. Jermain, who is the biggest American star is gone. If Kessler, gets knocked out by Froch, I bet he's gone, and I don't think we are done hearing about this fight, from sauderland. The referees though, atleast 3 of them have been very bad.
