Well, don't mind me, I stole this from the Ricky Hatton forum which was about the super 6 tournament placed for the Welterweight, so i'll just show the reply below. Lol'd so hard at Shane Mosley being there for some weird reason. Jr. Welterweight? lolwut. So my question is. If you could make 'Super' tournaments at this moment in time in any weight? Who would you go for? No "6 of the best ever", right now whoever's around, who's your 6? I might as well have a bash just for the crack... Welterweight - Cotto - Mosley - Mayweather - Clottey - Berto - Judah/Collazo
Bantamweight stands out for me. Fernando Montiel Anselmo Moreno Hozumi Hasegawa Joseph Agbeko Vic Darchinyan Abner Mares
You should do, really! Montiel held a portion of the super flyweight title alongside Darchinyan until he moved up, he has an all action style. Hasegawa has a portion of the bantamweight title out in Japan, a very speedy southpaw. Moreno holds another portion of the bantamweight title, excellent stylist with feathers for fists but he really does box nicely. Mares is a hot prospect, along the lines of Andre Dirrell in the upcoming tournament.
That would be a cracking line up...the lower weight fighters deserve this and they need this sort of exposure. They mostly all willing to fight each other so they would all jump at chance. Hasegawa is a certified badman!!!! but saying that Vic's is badder then bad. Gotta like all them guys in that line up. The Welter one is a great idea. Although some have already fought each other i wouldn't moan at seeing them fight again.
Really? Who would you moan for in that lineup (lol sexualinnuendo)? All of those fights that DID take place were exciting.
Mares is a good propect but I'd really feel for him there, he'd probably lose against all the other guys there and most would probably beat him up pretty bad. Hasagawa is my pick to win that, and not just because he's suddenly getting hype of his last impressive win
